We stayed at the Hotel Bauer in Saalbach for a week at the beginning of September 2011.
This was our eighth holiday in Austria and we have always stayed at very good hotels but the Hotel Bauer was the best hotel we have ever visited.
The hotel is very attractive, set in a quiet location on the pedestrianised main street of the highly scenic village of Saalbach. It has good facilities (three swimming pools, saunas, pretty garden, gym etc) and is very welcoming.
The food was top quality and the staff were unfailingly helpful and obliging and could not do enough for you. We stayed on the all-inclusive package, which offered a very generous selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, far more than just wine and beer.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. We stayed in the annex, a brief walk from the main hotel, and had an extremely spacious set of rooms. Being just round the corner was no inconvenience and we appreciated the brief walk to and from dinner and breakfast.
The Hotel Bauer is a superb hotel offering fantastic value for money, great for walkers and for those wishing for a more restful holiday as well as families.
We will certainly be returning there and would recommend it as a top-quality holiday destination to anyone.

Lovely hotel, great rooms, great facilities, but made better by the hard-working, attentive and above-all, friendly staff and management.
It's not a specialist kiddy hotel, but the staff are knockout at making the kids feel at home. Our two loved it, and it was nice that the team remembered us all from our last visit.
The food's great , the service is as well, and the location is superb.

My mum and dad stayed here for a week in June 2011. They were delighted to be upgraded from the annexe into the main hotel on arrival. Staff. food everything excellent. Couldn`t find any faults at all. The Joker card pass was free and allowed them access to all the lifts, buses etc for free and the hotel waqs all inclusive too! They would definately return!
