I just got back from stayin at Hotel Gasthof Brucke.

We had a burglary in our room at the hotel. The staff could not explain this and could see in their logg that there wasn't any other key-card used to access the room. The police made sure that there was no damage on window or balcony door. The police said that this means that you can access the room wihtout key and without breaking into the room.

The staff at Brucke handled this in a very bad way and had a really bad attitude.

When we talked to the staff there was another room that reported that everyting in their safe was gone.

So I will never ever stay there again.

The family Schneeberger are very friendly and helpful and run an amazing hotel. Good food, excellant location, good value for money, amazing views of the alps. I stay here at least twice a year. and have already booked for next March.

We booked this after looking at the web and the reviews here, and felt happy to go there. Unfortunately on arrival we were put into room 106, which is furbished the same as the day the hotel was built, dirty, dark and rather small with a balcony at ground level overlooking the apres ski bar, and its noise and loud music. The shower was mouldy, the sink cracked, the toilet was villeroy and boch with a scabby plastic seat. The bed was uncomfortable and squeaked with the slightest movement. Complaints about the room were met with the response, that we were allocated it as our ski company (Neilsons) paid less. so thats the cheap rooms. Positives - the food was good, but service patchy. Bar no atmosphere or too much in the apres bar. Smoking is allowed in the bar - good if you are that type, not if you are a non smoker as it it unventilated and heavy. The staff were sometimes rude and unhelpful. It is a good location for the ski lifts and boot room is always warm - so if you can hack the negatives you can sleep eat and drink here , but I ask why when Mayhofen has so much better (it is our 5th time there) and location is not really important - with buses in plentiful supply.

Very good quality hotel should be 4 star. Food was excellent as was the friendly service. Only issue was with the noise from the disco/bar but boots ear plugs were perfect for me I did n't here a thing. The spar was great for tired bodies and feet.
Thoroughly recommend it.
