We were made to feel at home and welcome as soon as we arrived. The room was nicely decorated and very clean and comfortable with everything we needed plus a balcony giving views across the valley and up to the GrossGlockner. (You need to get a south facing room for this - slightly more expensive). Evening meals are reasonable and comprise 4 courses with 2 choices of main plus a salad bar, served in a very nice restaurant with a fantastic view. The breakfast was very good - a selection of fresh and dried fruits, meats and cheeses, breads plus cereals and yoghurts - but no hot food other than boiled eggs. Service here is very friendly and efficient.
There is a nice indoor pool, a sauna and a steam room, plus a nice small secluded garden.
The hotel is situated at the heart of the village and is but is very quiet at night. The cable car is right opposite the hotel entrance and there are a few bars and shops close by.
We liked everything about this hotel and Heiligenblut is a wonderful little village in a wonderful part of the world.
