We stayed there on a weekend in late October. Rooms and restroom were small but had everything we needed. The walls are a bit thin, in the morning we woke up by families with kids going for breakfast but otherwise it's a decent, clean place. Great location for us: It was only a few miles to Custer State Park where we wanted to hike. Custer itself wasn't that exciting this time of the year, there didn't seem to be very good restaurants but at least they had a supermarket. We went over to Hill City to have excellent german style lunch at the Alpine Inn.
Our hotel was busy probably because most other hotels in town were already closed for the season. That might explains the price which was about $15 to $30 higher to comparable hotels in Rapid City or Hill City.

This was a beautiful hotel and I thought it was very reasonably priced considering how conveniently located it is to Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monument. The staff were friendly and polite and the rooms were pristinely clean and well furnished. No fridge or microwave, but otherwise great. The pool was really cool! The breakfast was yummy too!

Nice super 8 with good breakfast but not more than average rooms. The location is right across the street from the Flintstone park and near several fast food restuarants.

As a family of 6 it can be hard to find accomodations big enough or within our budget. This Super 8 was a nice surprise. We had a family room that we could all be comfortable in. Many updates and very clean. Will return for sure!
