Stayed at this hotel with my teenage kids while visiting my old home town for the holidays. What a treat with complimentary parking, convenient location on streetcar line, hot breakfast and great personable staff! It was definitely a "home" away from home. Would definitely stay again.

While I am not the biggest fan of New Orleans in general, I can say that this hotel is ok. The exterior and the lobby are very nice, which pumps this properties rating a bit. The rooms are a little below my standards, however. They are mostly just old. They also have a very serious lack of outlets. This is a problem for the modern traveler. The location is very nice, and is a huge plus as well. This is an average hotel after you combine the good and the bad, and I would stay here again, if I was in the area.

I stay here 1x/per month for business. This is a very comfortable Hampton Inn in a great location. The St. Charles streetcar is located directly across the street. Great mexican restaurant right next door. Highly recommend. (wifi is painfully slow).

We travel to NOLA frequently to visit our daughter in college. We almost always stay at this Hampton Inn. We spend about 6-8 weeks a year in hotels, between business and vacation, and mostly at Hampton Inns (which we prefer - you can't beat their free breakfast). It is steps away from the charming trolley, which is a lovely breezy ride to whever you want to go in New Orelans. Parking is free (take this into consideration when considering rates). We have stayed in the French Quarter and Convention area (when we didn't know any better, or this location was full) but found it too noisy and difficult to park (e.g. Hilton Garden Inn in French Quarter - too many one way streets!). The location on St. Charles Avenue makes it easy to find. Rooms are standard Hampton Inn, and there is a lovely lobby and court yard.
