Just returned from a two night stay. Overall our stay at the Courtyard was a mixed bag.
On the positive side:
The room we stayed in was spacious and clean. We had a two queen bed room. (#219)
The lobby was nice and has an interactive touchscreen map for directions.
They have a nice hot tub and pool area. My boyfriend used the hot tub but it was too cold to swim.
Parking was close and reasonably priced. When we arrived they weren't offering valet parking, so we paid $20 to self-park in the hotel garage. I believe valet parking resumed on the second day of our stay for $28.
The staff was very nice and really did all they could to make sure our stay pleasant.
On the negative side:
We ended being in three different rooms during our two day stay.
Room 1 had a toilet that didn't work. We were moved to a second room for the second day of our stay (#215). We had had a long day in the quarter and French market and wanted to turn in early on our second night. After 1 1/2 hours, the noise from the street and vibrations from bass were unbearable. Not even covering my head with pillows could quiet the bass noise. We finally called the front desk around 11:30 PM. They offered to move us to a new room. So we were brought up a new set of keys while we packed up all our things for a second time for the day. It was only a couple of rooms down the hallway and also faced the street (#209). We didn't even try to stay in this room. Frustrated and exhausted, we went downstairs to see what could be done. We were put in a room on the 5th floor that faced the courtyard. It was great (#540). Very quiet. We were given 2 vouchers for breakfast, which was very quite tasty. The noise was really the biggest negative but one other thing that bothered me was that you are only given one caffeinated coffee pack per room. After a restlessness night of sleep, both adults really need a cup of coffee.
The staff was so nice that I would like to say I would recommend the hotel but I could do so only if they were able to get an inside room.
Room Tip: Ask for an inside room to avoid street noise and music.
