“Big Easy but Big Busy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Great place for dine in and good position for some of the nicer restaurants. Only a few blocks walk from a Mall, which to tell the truth isnt really a mall but a tourist attraction for bourbon street, with a great live show at the chocolate fudge factory. A few blocks from Harrahs and 10 minutes to the French Quarter. But a good walk to the superdome.
Nice location and everyone is really hospitable. I would stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for looking at convention center or you could have what we got and a working class womens show u...

“Great staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

This was a hotel pick for business travel. Convenient to the Convention center and Riverwalk shops and some surprisingly good restaurants. For those of you who are "over" the whole Burbon street vibe, as I am, this is a very calm and welcoming retreat! Workout room and pool area were a welcome sight after all the food! Great staff who couldn't have been more helpful.

“Okay choice for Warehouse district”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

Stayed for The BCS NCG (Roll Tide)...in warehouse district about a block and a half from the River-walk mall and the cruise boat port and about 3 from the casino. Never stayed in this are of new orleans and thought it was nice to see a different area. Not a great choice if you plan to spend all your time in the quarter though. Its not too far from street cars and bus stops and there were usually cabs waiting across the street. The Quarter is in walking distant but wear comfortable shoes.

There are some great restaurants near here and some ok bars. the parking system is kinda disorganized but we had no issues. Lobby is nice and updated, but rooms are older. Mattress was a + though. Pool area was pretty nice but nothing special. We had no problems staying here and overall had a good experience but i probably would not stay here again (unless its one of the few places with a room which is why we booked it in the first place)

“Parking garage issues”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

We stayed here during BCS championship game. Good location if you don't mind walking a bit. Rooms are small and need updating. Ours smellled "musty". Front desk personnel were very accomodating even during this busy event. Negative- when we got our car from the parking garage, someone had cut our tire. The guy who went to get my car couldn't get in it because it had been parked too close to a concrete column- not good. Two parking attendants got into a shouting argument- a little scary. I don't expect to pay to park and have to experience what we did. No security cameras in parking area.

“Mixed bag”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

Just returned from a two night stay. Overall our stay at the Courtyard was a mixed bag.

On the positive side:
The room we stayed in was spacious and clean. We had a two queen bed room. (#219)
The lobby was nice and has an interactive touchscreen map for directions.
They have a nice hot tub and pool area. My boyfriend used the hot tub but it was too cold to swim.
Parking was close and reasonably priced. When we arrived they weren't offering valet parking, so we paid $20 to self-park in the hotel garage. I believe valet parking resumed on the second day of our stay for $28.
The staff was very nice and really did all they could to make sure our stay pleasant.

On the negative side:
We ended being in three different rooms during our two day stay.
Room 1 had a toilet that didn't work. We were moved to a second room for the second day of our stay (#215). We had had a long day in the quarter and French market and wanted to turn in early on our second night. After 1 1/2 hours, the noise from the street and vibrations from bass were unbearable. Not even covering my head with pillows could quiet the bass noise. We finally called the front desk around 11:30 PM. They offered to move us to a new room. So we were brought up a new set of keys while we packed up all our things for a second time for the day. It was only a couple of rooms down the hallway and also faced the street (#209). We didn't even try to stay in this room. Frustrated and exhausted, we went downstairs to see what could be done. We were put in a room on the 5th floor that faced the courtyard. It was great (#540). Very quiet. We were given 2 vouchers for breakfast, which was very quite tasty. The noise was really the biggest negative but one other thing that bothered me was that you are only given one caffeinated coffee pack per room. After a restlessness night of sleep, both adults really need a cup of coffee.

The staff was so nice that I would like to say I would recommend the hotel but I could do so only if they were able to get an inside room.

Room Tip: Ask for an inside room to avoid street noise and music.
