We chose this hotel for its location and were not disappointed. It is a half block off of Bourbon Street, but we did not have any noise problems. We had a view of the parking lot, but that didn't matter. Everything was more than adequate, except for the blankets, which had holes in them, and the towels, which were threadbare. There was also an odd smell we couldn't quite place, but was not very strong. Front desk was helpful. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but the Bombay Club bar was an oasis for adults with jazz at night. We had our first sazarac (sp?) cocktail there, which is supposedly the first cocktail ever and was invented in New Orleans. It's made with rye whiskey, lime, sugar and absinthe and tastes somewhat like a Manhattan.
