“No safe and fridge otherwise nice”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

Checked in Feb 11 for my birthday weekend. Rooms are nice with marble floors all over, only shower in our room, bathrobe and slippers for one. We called to get another robe and slipper set and ask about the safe. It seemed the lady was surprised we had no safe but said she would send items up. Happy about this we headed out. We returned around 2 am to find no safe still in room. This would not have been a problem if we had not brought a laptop, iPad, cell phones and pieces of expensive jewelry. Well we phoned downstairs again and were informed none of the rooms had safes, not what we were told earlier. The problem was Expedia stated they had a fridge and the Mazarin hotel site stated they had a safe. Due to medications needing refrigeration and our jewelry we requested a change to another hotel which offered those items. I am not happy we were charged a full night when the advertising by both sites were misrepresented and plan to take this matter further. The staff was very good but in this instance seemed unknowledgeable of what hotel offered. Not happy about additional expense to move and travel to different hotel.d. This hotel is in a great location and the room is good. The view was ok. We could peek over and see the garden area but not street.

Room Tip: Ask for a street view

Good Morning and thank you positive comments on our room decor, we put a lot of thought in the room design. We are in the process of having the safes and mini-fridges installed in all guest rooms, sorry for the delay, but they are coming this month.

We hope to see you again soon.

“Great location, everything new, super grand opening special price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Arrived early,valet/doorman took care of taking luggage...really nice guy. We were told room would't be ready til about 3 and they would call us...got call at 2 recived room on 5th floor very nice, luggage was sent up promptly.room had window to street but all you could see was the sonesta accross the way.Bathroom was nice but lacked counter space and the shower with no door did get the bathroom floor very wet.TV was great. Room could use small refrigerator had space for one though.maybe still in the future. I-pod station worked well. Room could also use a safe. Lobby was very small. Staff were exceptionally friendly, and were willing to answer any questions The courtyard was nice but had a tent like plastic tarp covering it,I guess because of final construction. We recieved free breakfast both mornings which was pretty good, basicly buffet but you could order eggs other than scrambled

Room Tip: Rooms differ in size and you pay accordingly. Didn,t hear to much street noise

“Great location, great service, expected more for the price though.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012 via mobile

The parking was valet only at a fair price. Its on the corner of Bourbon St. and Bienville so great location. I didnt like that they only had showers. We paid extra for a balcony at $248.00 with tax a night and the balcony faces Bienville which had construction going on. The balcony itself wasnt bad but no view. Although you could sit out there and hear everything on Bourbon St. The room was nice but not extravagant. They did give free drinks. Staff was great! They also had a nice courtyard and breakfast.

“Perfect Location in the French Quarter”

The Hotel Mazarin provided an exceptional experience during my stay. Located half a block off Bourbon Street, this hotel serves a the perfect place to accommodate a night out in the Quarter. The staff encompassed the highest level of hospitality and room amenities were immaculate. I especially enjoyed the view of the quarter from my surprisingly spacious room! I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
