“You get what you pay for”

So when I went down to vist my boyfriend I had to stay in a hotel since I couldn't stay in the dorms. This was the only place next to his school, and when I looked online the place looked nice from the pictures. Boy, was I wrong, the only thing clean about that place was the sheets. Shower curtain was disgusting, the shower it self was dirty with stuff stuck on the tub, the bathroom floor dirty. The tv didn't work, the room had an odd smell, the ac/heat cover fell off the wall. The worst part was when I found food in a bag in the night stand. And the door barley locked, and when it did lock you couldn't get into it with out pushing it. I've stand in cheap hotels before, and it was nothing compared to this...

Our room was disgusting! Moldy, drain-clogged shower. Nasty floor. Strange smells. Neighbors had blood stains on the shower curtain. The fire alarm had already been pulled, so there is no way they were up to fire code, but the place needs to be burned down!

Room Tip: There are no good rooms here

“Not as bad as expected!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

Being a travel agent 12 yrs Ive stayed in my share of hotels and let me tell you this one is NOT as bad as some have said. Yes, it does have its issues, its older, lacking in attention to detail in some areas and is in a not so nice neighborhood, but for the price you get what you pay for. We were there for one night, the man checking us in, William was just as nice as could be, very helpfull in getting us a taxi. Our room was on the 4th floor. It was clean and smelled clean. The only thing missing was towels for the shower, but we had brought our own and it wasnt an issue. When we checked out Tammy was super sweet! She asked where we were from, how our stay was and such. I will be back!

“We only lasted 45 minutes before just checking out and finding another place to stay”

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, it had coke bottles with cigarettes in it and unmade beds when we walked in. They provided us with a new room, but the sheets were dirty, the nasty pillows didn't have pillowcases, the bathroom didn't have soap or toilet paper, and the carpet smelled nasty. We saw a woman get arrested in the parking lot upon our arrival and a male prostitute greeted us at the lobby door. Nothing could have made us spend the night in that wretched building.

“The worst of many Hotels on my Trip!”

Unfriendly Woman at the Front desk, roaches, Blocked Fire exits, missing dead bolds, Borken Elevator Combined with a room on the 4th floor....you Name it. I experienced it all in One stay at the midtown. And the Highlight: they allotted me a room First which was already given to someone else and walked in when this Person had a shower. Any hotel in NO is nicer!
