I really enjoyed our short stay (three nights) at this hotel.
It's a very narrow building with grand flourishes inside. There were lots of surprising things - the late snack of PBJ and hot chocolate, the relaxing bar area, the drawn bath options (I didn't take advantage of that one).
But for me, the best part was the service. Amazing, incredible service. Sure, people are nice down south. It's expected. But I felt like a royalty here. Every question, need, whim can be taken care of. And there's something grand about having everyone greet you with a warm hello, and mean it.
The bathrooms were incredibly well appointed. The opulence of the decor isn't to my taste, but it suited this lovely place. The rooms could have used a coffee pot/tea, but that's a minor complaint.
