The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful, clean, well-maintained and well-located in a quieter and "saner" part of town but is only a short walking distance to the wild times. It is located close to the street cars so you can get to ant part of NO quite easily.
The price is very resonable for this magnificent facility. This is definitely our new "go-to" place when we are in NOLA!

This is by far a 4-star hotel, it is complete with excellent concierge service, beautiful rooms decorate with 18th century New Orleans charm. Walking down the hall, is comparable to being in The Buckingham Place---I would assume!! It is centrally located on Poydras, so a short walk to Superdome, Canal, or French Quarter....and a very short walk to Mother's!!! Overall, great hotel, will stay here again.

Positives: wonderful classic look, fun peanut butter + jelly tradition (they have PB+J's at night for free), really great and helpful staff

Negatives: depending on your taste rooms may be a bit 'dated', location - it's in walking distance of bourbon street (10-15 mins), but there really isn't much else going on in the direct vicinity.


Overall - if you are looking for a good value hotel and don't mind not being in the immediate area of bourbon street/french quarter - then this is a fantastic choice.

This hotel was so much fun. So nice from the building to staff... Top Rate! The late night pb&j in the lobby... nice touch! Thanks to the staff for treating us like we were special! We will be back
