“Great little boutique hotel - close to everything in NOLA....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

We returned to NOLA after a cruise for a couple of days before returning back home....we stayed at the Bienville.....was concerned a bit by some of the reviews I had seen....but, I can safely say that we were very pleased by our experience with this hotel. The rooms vary due to the age of the building but the location just can't be beat.
The only thing I'd have to say is that we got a bit hot the first night there as the boiler went out.....so the only method we had to control the room temp was the ceiling fan as the windows don't open......
But the staff informed us it would be fixed and sure enough, night two we had no problems....this hotel offers a lovely continental breakfast and the restaurant options looked great even though we never made it there......
If you want a safe, quiet and clean place to stay in NOLA....stay here.....

Room Tip: We had a room facing the fire station across the street.....so beware if they are busy....so will yo...

“Nice Hotel at a Reasonable Price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

We go to New orleans several times a year and we would definately return to the Bienville. Though this is an older hotel, we found the hotel to be more than adequate. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a great location. The Mississippi River is just a few minutes away and you are very close to many of the restaurants and music venues. The pool area was a great place to take a break from the hustle and bustle. The only problem we had was with the air conditioning/heating adjustment which staff fixed promptly.

“Wonderful Hotel to visit the French Quarter”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Having not been to the French Quarter in a number of years, I was a little leery about the quality I would find in a Boutique French Quarter Hotel. The Bienville House far exceeded all expectations! Quiet, exceeding clean and tastefully decorated. The employees were gracious and helpful ----and one step out of the door and you are in the French Quarter just steps from all of the music, food, art, and night life that N’alins is famous for. We will certainly stay here as we are now planning a return trip.

Room Tip: The street view of Decauter was a nice touch adding to the "real" N'awlins experience.

“Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We missed our first day in N'Awlens due to flight difficulties. The Bienville House gladly refunded our deposit for first night, despite a 72 hour cancellatiion policy. We ended up with a large balcony room for the same price as the large chains. This is great boutique hotel in the heart of the French Quarter but far enough away so you don't hear the madness of Bourbon Street. We loved it and would not hesitate to go back or recommend to good friends. Just book it.

Room Tip: The top floor has suites with beautiful private courtyards. A great place to have an evening drink.
