This is probably the oldest hotel I have stayed in. Really wasn't sure what to expect. Walking in you are hit with a smell of seafood from the restaurant which is onsite. The entrance is very cool tile though. I would probably rate the hotel a 3.5, I think average is too low, but very good seems a tad high. What helps me rate it very good are the people. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly and made us feel at home. We received an upgrade to the executive floor, which was a nice bonus. The breakfast was nothing spectacular, but definitely a nice start to the morning. I loved having a fridge stocked with water and soft drinks to grab whenever I felt the need. The location of the hotel is nice, couple minutes from canal and from the river and maybe 15 mins from the center of the french quarter. We walked over to frenchman street one night (amazing, highly recommend for any music lovers) and the walk wasn't too bad. Stopped in a few bars along the way :) Compared to some of the prices the other hotels in the area charge, I thought the Hilton provided a great value and I would definitely consider staying there again on future visits.

This was a very decent hotel. The room was clean, the bathroom was modern, and there was a nice tv. The staff was very polite.

TV was limited- only basic stations and ESPN.

There is a great restaurant - Luke's - downstairs. Luke's also provides the room service.

It is an easy walk to the shops on Canal Street, the Quarter, and to offices on St. Charles.

Picked this hotel because it was rated higher than the other hilton properties. This is not up to standard for Hilton. The restaurant is NOT on site. The concierge lounge is disgusting and it is overpriced. There is a Hampton Inn across the street that is a few dollars more but much nicer. I don't believe this Hotel is a true HIlton and I would not stay here again.

Stayed here for five days and I have to say it was great. The all of the staff was helpful and on point, the rooms were great and I liked the location (About 2 to 3 blocks from Canal St - cross that and you're in the French Quater; 10-ish minute walk to Acme Oyster House, about a 15 to 20 min walk to Cafe du Monde, 5 minute walk to the Ignatius J. Reilly statue, if you're in to that sort of thing...). We did not eat at the restaurant (Luke's) but there was no design on that - there was just too many other places to try. I would definitely go back and I would recommend it to others.
