My husband and I decided to stay at a bed & breakfast instead of a big hotel while spending time in New Orleans. Our experience at the Henry Howard House far exceeded our expectations. The rooms are extremely clean, comfortable and big. The location is perfect for sightseeing - centrally located to French Quarter or Uptown. The house itself, is beautiful. It is just what you would expect in an old New Orleans home in the garden district part of town. The furnishings, chandeliers and antiques are fabulous. The staff at the house are warm, friendly and extremely accommodating.
I highly recommend the Henry Howard House. It made the trip that much better.
I have already booked a room for my next trip to New Orleans in the fall of 2011.

Rented out the whole Inn for Razorback fans for the 2011 Sugar Bowl... couldn't have been happier with the location (parked our car and took streetcar or cab everywhere), our room (rented Rex and loved having the huge balcony and large room), the breakfast everyday and everything about it. The Inn provided the amenities of a nice hotel with much more ambiance. Located in a great section of the Garden District - a few blocks from Sandra Bullock, John Goodman and Archie Manning's houses - with lots of restaurants and bars. They were filming a movie at one of the mansions a few blocks away when we were there. And it's not far from the French Quarter, the WWII museum, etc. via the St. Charles streetcar or cab.
