“Favorite Country Inn & Suites Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

Stayed Feb 5, the night before a cruise out of NOLA. Seriously this location is my Favorite Country Inn & Suites, this was my 2nd stay. I will not stay anywhere else the next time I go back to NOLA. The staff makes you feel like you are at home. Beds super comfortable. The location is perfect, easily walkable to many great places to eat and of course the French Quarter.

Thanks for making my stay a PERFECT start to my vacation.

“Would not stay anywhere else!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

We were in town for a convention and booked a room based on Tripadvisor's past reviews of guests. We were not disappointed! When we check in our room we noticed a loud noise that sounded like the elevator shaft. We later found out we were near the ventilation system. We told front desk and they immediately moved us to another room, not just any room but a large suite street side. It was quiet and comfy. They went above and beyond. The breakfast had great food choices and convenient hours. We were centrally located for everything New Orleans has to offer. Would book again!!!

Glad you had a great time, and the staff was able to turn the hiccup with your original room into such a positive experience! Though not every experience is perfect, I am confident in both our staffs ability and desire to make every stay great, which makes a huge difference. Hopefully you get to come back to New Orleans soon, and stay with us again! Thank you for taking the time to share your positive feedback.

“Great hotel - apart from the barman”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Our stay was great. Free breakfast, free cookies at the check-in counter, wonderful older buildings that are all connected together in a comfortable way. Location is just minutes outside the French Quarter but close enough to enjoy everything the Quarter offers. Rooms are very comfortable and the beds are good. Clean and spacious.

The breakfast here is very good, a great variety and selection of food. It should not be missed if you can help it.

Our only issue here was the bartender. When we arrived there were no cookies at the check-in counter. We didn't know there was supposed to be cookies, but there were. Guy at the counter said we could go to the bar and they had a supply there. It was on the way to the lifts /elevators so we stopped off to pick a couple up. There were two people at the bar, one of whom was waiting for service, the barman was not there. He came out a couple of minutes later, served the first person and came to us. We asked for the cookies and he said no, he didn't have time. That was it. Nothing else. Just no. It wasn't exactly like he was run off his feet or anything, we just seemed to be an inconvenience to him. Shame really as everything else about this hotel was very good.

By the way, the cookies were at the counter every other time we came and went, and they were delicious.

Glad you had such a great experience here in New Orleans and at our hotel. I am surprised to hear your feedback, as each bartender tends to get extremely positive reviews (one has even received national attention for his service skills!), but I will definitely bring it to their attention as a reminder that every interaction really does make a big difference. I think you got a good glimpse at how service oriented we really are during your stay though, and hope you get to come back again soon!

“Nice quiet suite, great location. Walk to French Quarter and museums.”

Great value. Booked early, paid only 114.00 per night for a suite. Very good breakfast included. Concierge recommended City Tours, wonderful 3 hour tour with James and Jean.

“Fantastic Atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

We booked 3 rooms (3 couples) and were able to have access before lunch which was great. Very helpful and friendly staff and the rooms were great with character and lovely comfy beds. Excellent location - can walk to the main street (Canal Street) in a minute, the Riverwalk and World War 2 museum are only minutes away as is Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. Access to free internet in the reception area is a bonus. The breakfast was okay - could be improved upon. We would recommend and certainly stay there again.

Room Tip: We all had good rooms, possibly request one that does not overlook the rubbish skips

Glad you had a great trip to New Orleans! It sounds like just about everything was perfect. The location is a great perk as we are just steps away from just about anywhere you want to go, but just far enough that you get a quiet night of rest.

As I have mentioned on here before, we actually recently revamped our breakfast and had a lot of new offerings. We have definitely been listening to the feedback on those and decided to tweak the menu just a little bit more. Hopefully with a few new options, we can turn your "ok" into a "fantastic" next time you come to New Orleans! We appreciate the feedback, and are definitely listening! Thanks for taking the time to share and we hope you get to come back soon!
