During our first night of stay, our vehicle was towed from the driveway of the B&B. When recovering our vehicle from the city impound lot, the Sheriff's Deputy advised us that the city parking enforcement will not tow from a residence unless it is called in by someone at the residence. When we addressed this issue with the B&B owner, Randal, he assumed no responsibility for the matter. We tried to work with the owner to resolve the issue but he maintained his exemption, saying it was not his problem. It is unacceptable to have your vehicle called in to be towed from the hotel/motel/B&B which you are patronizing. The management at this establishment had absolutely no concern for taking care of their paying guests. Additionally, while discussing this issue over the phone, he became extremely unprofessional, resorting to profane language and name calling and then hung up on me.
Unrelated but relevant to anyone considering staying here: although charming and beautiful, the place was not well kept. It had dirty floors, only the guest rooms were air conditioned (common areas were very uncomfortable in the summer heat), there were live wires hanging out of the wall in the common kitchenette area...the list could go on.
I would sincerely advise against patronizing this business. It is the most disappointing stay we have ever had and we have stayed on countless B&B's across the US.

On the first night of this guest's stay with us, an unfortunate event occurred. we only learned about it around noon the next day. What had happened was that while everyone in the house was asleep, his totally illegally parked car in the street had been towed. We advise all of our guests that have a car to park on the street that parking across driveway entrances is a highly towable offense and that what happens beyond my gate is beyond my control. At that time I wrote the following text message to the guest. "sir, i hope that you will finish your stay with us. it is my understanding that there is no complaint about your accomodations and hospitality which you have received here. (his wife had just confirmed this statement in person on the front porch). we look forward to serving you and will do whatever is in our power to make your remaining stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. i apologize for any inconvenience this situation may have caused you. regardless, i hope you will enjoy the rest of your time in new orleans. yours truly, Randal." The guest did indeed finish their stay with us never once confronted us with any problems regarding their comfort and hospitality which they had received.
