“Le Richelieu”

This has repeatedly been my #1 hotel in New Orleans for several years. Location, location, location is only part of their charm. The hotel is located in the civilized, quiet end of the French Quarter. The rest of the charm is compliments of the staff and the facility. The hotel is lovely: quaint, clean, unique and not "cookie cutter." The staff is off the chart! They call you by name, have great suggestions, the best friendly bar staff I have EVER met and the breakfast/lunch menu is delicious. Even the housekeeping staff is friendly and calls you by name (Hi Tammy!). The front desk does the same (Hi Pam and Tamara). The owner, Frank, is on property daily and speaks with each guest like an old friend. There is no better place to stay in New Orleans than here!

“Great Safe Location, Helpful Staff, Room a bit dated”

My family (3 of us) stayed here recently for two nights prior to leaving on a cruise from New Orleans. Check in was a breeze and we had a room with a shared balcony/porch on the second floor. The room was clean and our real only complaint was the old air-conditioning unit that could not be turned off ....that wasn't the problem... the problem was that the unit had a thumping noise that never stopped. We liked the location of the room with the balcony so we didn't seek to move after we had unpacked everything. We were able to get up each morning and take a 5 minute stroll to Cafe DuMonde for beignet and chicory coffee. The location is really ideal for it is within a 10 to 15 minute walk to everything in the French Quarter. We'd probably stay again if I could get a good rate for the room due to the location alone.

Located at the edge of the French Quarter and with its own parking lot, this is my favorite NOLA hotel. The rooms are getting a little dated (we had a broken floor lamp), but not enough to make me look elsewhere. Our room was clean and the desk clerks were very helpful and friendly.

“Great price and service”

Stayed 3 nights for along weekend. The service was wonderful and helpful . The breakfast was fresh and a good price compare to other breakfast meal in the French Quarters. What was really nice was getting away from the noise of the other streets. My only complaint was are room was really cold on the 3rd night.

“not so great”

The people who checked us in were very nice. The room is dumpy. The king size bed is hard as a rock. We were told the internet was free but we couldn't find a signal. So if you don't care about those things you will like this place. I wouldn't stay here again.
