I went to NOLA with a friend and we got a double beds room. I disagree with other comments : our room was very big !!!
It is a bit noisy but if you want to be in town you will have noise anyway.
Very good location : all the French Quarter can be done walking from the hotel.
Very good and complete breakfast.
It was a little bit cold to enjoy the pool.

We booked this hotel on Priceline for $81 a night (rack rate was $119 on weekdays and $159 on weekends) and we were delighted to find that it was a very comfortable, quiet, clean, and well-run establishment. The location is great: right on the border of the French Quarter across the street from Armstrong Park, so it is close to everything in the Quarter but very tranquil at night. There is a large courtyard in the interior of the three-story hotel where you can relax on lounge chairs or sit at little tables. A continental breakfast is included: waffles, eggs, sides, cereals, oatmeal, bagels, pastry, juices, coffee, etc. We’d definitely stay here again. Request a room overlooking the fountain courtyard; rooms in front get noise from N. Rampart Street.

My husband and I arrived in NOLA and took taxi to this hotel from the airport (flat rate $33 for two - better deal than taking airport shuttle!) and hotel was very easy to access. Check in was a breeze, the front desk offered a map to get us started in exploring. Hotel is close enough to action (about 5 min walk to the heart of French Quarter) but not too close that we couldn't sleep at night with the noise, etc.

Room was very clean, we got the courtyard view which was pretty with outdoor swimming pool, fountain and seating area. We stayed for 6 nights and found that the hotel met everything that we needed. Pretty decent breakfast with eggs, biscuit, sausage/bacon, plus other things. After 3 days of having breakfast at the hotel, we decided to skip and went out to different cafes in the area, but free breakfast is always a plus.

There were a few incidents of people smoking right outside our door, in the elevator and in the hallway. Not the hotel's fault at all. I called the front desk and they took care of it immediately. Check out was easy also and they have a business center that you can use to print boarding pass. All in all, very good experience and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed at this hotel during the BCS National Championship, Jan 2012. Room rates skyrocketed due to demand and we paid way more than this hotel was worth. But, we knew that was probably going to be the case with any hotel in NOLA during such a busy weekend. We woke up to a dripping sound and thought it was just a faucet but discovered that there was a leak from the floor above coming down through a recessed light fixture in to our sink. Seemed pretty darn dangerous to us; the maintenance staff came in and looked, but never returned. When we asked about it the next day, they sent someone again, but he just said it was the toilet leaking from the room above us and he could not really do much. We stayed 3 nights and did not have hot water until the last morning.....tile floor in bathroom is slick as glass. I had to put towels on the floor of the shower to keep from slipping. We requested delayed maid service one morning and they never returned....when I asked the front desk to go ahead and service the room, they replied that maids had already gone and they simply offered us clean towels. Obviously, this is not a full service operation. Given a choice, I would not return. If it was my only choice, I would stay there knowing that it was about all I could find. The one redeeming factor was that the bed was comfortable and the room was as clean as could be expected for an old property.
