The hotel was just what we wanted- overlooking bourbon street. However, it is very loud (which we expected and were prepared for, but definitely is a deterrent to some). Additionally, and this is not a reflection of the hotel as much as New Orleans in general, there was a murder directly outside of our hotel while we were there. The shots were fired and the body was directly outside of our window. Bourbon street was shut down for 6 hours with cops, ambulances and the coroner. I do believe the hotel does all they can to ensure that the guests are safe and that the hotel isn't filled with drunk revellers, but I don't think I will ever stay on bourbon street again, no matter how nice the hotel is.

Best location for the French Quarter! We have stayed at a few hotels in New Orleans for New years. The two before this year we stayed at the Aston Crown Plaza on Canal. This is a really nice hotel but the Inn on Bourbon has the best location. Right in the center of the action!! We had an upgraded room with a balcony overlooking the pool. Nice view but the room and the balcony were very small.

My friend and I just stayed for 2 nights at this hotel and I would definitely recommend it to everyone. Spending about 60 nights a year travelling for work, I sleep in quite a lot of hotels and this simply is a good hotel.

Apart from one of the staff at check out everyone was extremely friendly, the room was lovely and the hotel is beautiful. If you don't want to be in the middle of everything you shouldn't stay on Bourbon Street so people really shouldn't complain about that. More than anything praise goes to Ann, the 'concierge'. She knows everything about where to go and what to do and takes time telling you about it. We were two girls by ourselves and felt looked after and taken care off as she made sure to tell us where it was safe.

I will most certainly return to this hotel and would recommend it to everyone.

Perfect location right on Bourbon street, old world luxury, comfortable rooms, we had a room overlooking the pool on the second floor with a balcony which was a nice surpirse for the price (we found the room at a great discount on the day with hotels.com).
