“Hotel changed nanes awhile ago...it is now La QUINTA CHALMETTE AREA. Trip advisor should update this. I had to do my homework to”

Hotel undergoing extensive cleaning and repair: new manager. Price is higher than average in area, they had a rate hike earlier this year.Rooms are huge. Beds are comfortable.Great pet areas. Latge property. Breakfadt area nice, ideal when everything is in stock.We spent extensive time there. Were disappointed the lobby computer was down for a
month. This hotel is ideal for people who are not demanding and have a sense of humor about lifes inconsistencies. Great
pet policy. VERY NICE STAFF. Pricey for the total picture in an area devastated by
Katrina, still recovering. Would stay there again, as it is a good optoon in that area. Morel 6 next door was a yuck upon inspection.

We just returned from a 3 night, 4 day trip to New Orleans with our two children who will turn 6 and 7 in a few weeks. The hotel was great. It was quiet and the children loved the pool. We enjoyed being away fom downtown and had little problem finding parking when we decided to go to the Aquarium and Zoo. The LA Children's Museum and City Park were great.
The hotel was about 12 miles away from downtown. We liked the distance!
My son's favorite part was the continental breakfast. There was a pretty good variety of items--eggs and ham or muffins, plus juice and fruit or yogurt.
The only thing we would have changed would have been the television stations--no Nickelodian or Cartoon Network or Boomerang or Disney Channel!!!
We would definitely recommend this hotel for travelers to New Orleans. We especially like the 100% guarantee and the guaranteed lowest rates pledge of this hotel.
