We stayed at this motel for four nights in november while we visited New Orleans. The best thing about it was definitely the staff - the were really nice and friendly and super helpful; the door to our room wouldn´t lock properly, so they transferred us to another room that was bigger and had a balcony. The rooms were cleaned perfectly by a woman named Kathy (I think - had a hard time reading her handwriting, but she left us a note thanking us for not messing the place up and even arranged my shoes :)) Breakfast was average - I´m not extremely fond of all the sweet stuff, but it´s just what you get in every motel in the U.S., and it was nice that it was included! The heating in our room was a little noisy, which sometimes made it hard to sleep, and I wasn´t very happy with the location of the motel - not because, as some people have said, it´s a dangerous place, but because without a car it does take you some time to get into town. We went by bus the first day, which took us almost 50 minutes; the following day, a staff member recommended a cheap parking garage downtown, so we went by car, which was definitely the better choice. Overall, I´d recommend this motel to everyone who´s looking for a bargain!

The price for staying is good as long as you pay before the price rises due to the special events that are/will happen in New Orleans. Such as Carnival Season and others like the Sugar Bowl. The rooms are good expecially for the twin-bed rooms, although I wish the rooms had DVD players that comes with them just in-case if I ever wanted to watch a movie, but I guess you just have to bring you own.

I like that they have a free continental breakfast even though I wish they have eggs along besides just waffles and sweet pasterees.

Overall, this hotel is short of like a bang-for-a-buck.

The location was not to bad. It was 16-30$ cab fair one way to get down to canal street. The bus does pick up across the street, but we were advised not to ride it at night. The room was a typical motel room, but the bathroom didn't work the first 2 days we were there!! We had to go to the lobby to use the restroom( a bit inconvenient) The staff was super nice and helpful!! I was a little surprised they didn't do more to compensate us for the bathroom issue.The rates were really good considering what all was going on in New Orleans this weekend!!

We found last minute accommodations here for a big LSU event. Found the reviews to be favorable and the price hard to beat, so we booked a room. Surprised at how easy the hotel was to find- right off the expressway, which is not pretty, but very convenient. Given its surroundings, the hotel seemed nice enough with a balcony and New Orleans flair.
Having arrived late, we were pleasantly greeted by the desk clerk who informed us of the free internet, workout room, continental breakfast, etc. The observant clerk even noticed where we had parked and told us we could stay there even though my husband had just commented to me privately that he thought we were going to have to move the car.
Our room was spacious and clean. (I checked the mattresses-looked brand new) The seat was up on a newly cleaned and spotless toilet. The bedroom had a mirror in it which is great when trying to get dressed, and we could leave the ironing board out and still have room to get around. Although we did not use them, the frig and microwave looked nice as well.
Upon checking out, we were greeted again by two very helpful employees. Cathy Smith happened to be reponsible for cleaning our room, and she obviously takes pride in her work because our room was spotless. And Tara, behind the counter, was equally professional and courteous.
We appreciate the value since there was nothing more that a "four star" hotel could have offered, but for a lot more money. Thanks!
