“Ummm, yeah the Loft Towers are "old"...it's the Warehouse District!!”

We LOVED our stay at the Loft Towers at the Embassy Suites New Orleans. We were really happy with the loft towers and found them very quiet. As an artist, I found the unfinished former-Sugar refinery walls amazing...which truly added a unique charm to the large rooms. The breakfast in the lofts was very basic (do-your-own waffles, cereal, bagels, toast, scrambled eggs, etc.) but the breakfast in the "main" hotel was great with wonderful omelets and other "upgraded" selections from the Lofts. The walk to the French Quarter, Harrah's Casino, the Rivercenter Mall, etc. was safer than most cities, we walked the routes around 1 to 2 AM and never felt unsafe. We also appreciated our "own" concierge/customer service desk in the Lofts...we were always greeted warmly and genuinely felt welcome! One day, we stayed in with our "Do Not Disturb" sign out until after 3PM and did not expect our room to be cleaned... Surprisingly, everything was changed out and cleaned when we returned a few hours later (amazing what a tip left on the pillow will do...a lesson we learned over many years of travelling!) The friendliness of the entire staff was amazing..from check-in, to the manager's reception bartenders/waiters, to housekeeping, to our Loft's concierge... We are actually planning a return trip to NOLA just due to the wonderful time we had at this terrific, unique hotel. The morning of our check-out, we were even able to "walk" our bags down to the cruise ship terminal -- no taxi fares, no wait, no fuss. We were checked-out of the hotel and checked-in to our cruise ship in less than 20 minutes! Thanks to the caring staff, convenient location, and unique building architecture/design, we definitely rate this a 5-Star experience!

Room Tip: We loved the Lofts (formerly a sugar refinery). May not be for 'everyone' as it has exposed...

“Should have stayed at another hotel.”

The loft towers are very old and not connected to the current hotel. Hair dryer broken in room. Some days room was cleaned with no towels left to restock. None of the vending machines on the floor worked or if they did only took your money. Complimentary breakfast was horrible. Slow restaurant service. Bad part of town. Paper thin walls With double balcony usage.

“My New Orleans Weekend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

I recently had the opportunity to stay at this hotel on a girls weekend trip. The room was adequate but what really impressed me was the staff and the concierge that welcomed us. They catered to our every need and were right on the money about good places to eat.We also loved walking out onto the street and just picking a cab to climb into to take us to our destination. The breakfast was also top notch. Not continental but cooked to order. We will definatley stay here again!

“Happy Hour and breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Stayed here for a conference at the end of January. Very good location for the conference. Also, pretty close to French Quarter. The hotel was nice. We had a two room suite. The living room had a rather uncomfortable pull-out sofa and the bedroom had a nice king bed. TVs in both room.

The service at the hotel was very friendly and the breakfast and happy hour were great! Bartenders were excellent, 2 drinks at a time, very friendly! Nice, big lobby for post conference networking.

I would stay again.

“Beware the Lofts”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Being on a business trip I asked for a quiet room. Beware - they said they would give me a room in "The Lofts" which were the most recently renovated rooms. This is actually a building next door and when I opened the curtains next morning there was a walling only a couple of feet away from the window. Maybe quiet but also dark and depressing. I did not think the rooms were renovated anytime recently. The corridors were well worn.

Good news the Wifi worked!

Room Tip: I love Embassy Suites and the Hilton brands generally. But not this one - try the Hilton Garden Inn.
