I happened upon this place on foot. The person who greeted us was friendly even though it was later at night. The garden in the back was beautiful. The staff the next day was as friendly as the night before. Even though I woke up late (beyond breakfast time) both days we were served breakfast with a smile. I would definitely come back. Check this place out.

The guest house is at the far edge of the Quarter. Walkable for the ambitious. Hosts were gracious and accommodating. The rooms could have used a thorough deep cleaning and paint touch-up. The croissant and fresh fruit breakfast was good and served in a charming courtyard.

This was our second visit to the New Orleans Guest House. We wish we had known about this place years ago. Yes, it is old (the Quarter is old) but we like the charm. I have to wonder how anyone can say you can get better for $100 if you are talking about the French Quarter. In New Orleans, that's the price of a good meal for just two or three people.

The rooms are furnished with antiques and are as clean and as roomy as I have ever had in a B&B. The courtyard is lovely and peaceful.

One of the owners is always on duty during the day. The night clerk is always willing to help you, no matter what the hour.

Never have I had hosts like Alvin and Ray (a.k.a. Howard). They are gentlemen and so friendly. Both are long-time New Orleans residents and they know the best restaurants and places to see, some of which you just don't find in the guides to N.O.

If you want new and modern, why go to the Quarter? If you like charm, and an easy walk to the sites and night life of the Quarter, give the New Orleans Guest House a try. Like us, you will go back.

The staff is super nice, they gave us nice tips for eat in locals places not expensives places. The building is old so you have to know is not a Boutique hotel, but the location is great. The parking is a great complement. In my experience for $100 I get in other places a better nice room, more modern. But New Orleans is a very old city so here you gona have a nice idea how old is. The breaskfast is just fruit, bread, coffe, tea and Juice and don't ask for more because is no more than one very small service.
