“Large rooms and a classly property”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

Walking into the lobby of the hotel I wasn't sure what to expect. It is clearly an older property. That means one of two things. First, a hotel that tries to slap some lipstick on it but underneath is an old hotel. Or two, a historic property that feels like an old gem. This is clearly the latter.

As a Diamond Hilton member I did get an upgrade from the standard king room. That being said, it was a nice large room. It felt like a modern hotel room yet preserved the historic charm of the property. The room was quiet and comfortable. Only complaint was the lack of power outlets. They were there. But you had to hunt for them and spread out your electronics throughout the room.

The staff was friendly. The property clean. And located close enough to the New Orleans' action yet far enough away where you can escape the noises and crowds.

“Everything you'd expect in a luxury hotel.”

Stayed here for a week for business and extended it into the weekend for some personal time. My company held an event here and the hotel/catering/event staff catered to our every need. I would highly recommend using the hotel for their meeting capabilities.

The hotel rooms are a nice size, clean, and it is relatively quiet. I never sleep that well when alone and away from home for a long period of time, but their beds are AMAZING so I had no trouble at all. The hotel is within easy walking distance to Bourbon St, St Charles Streetcar, Riverwalk, and basically anything in the French Quarter.

It was my first time visiting NOLA and I cannot think of any negatives encountered while staying here. Would love to do it again!

Room Tip: If you want to splurge the suites are amazing!

“Quiet, Clean with Wonderful beds.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We stayed over New Years Eve and had a great room. We really appreciated the quiet room to retire to after the noise and excitement on Bourbon Street. The beds are the best we have ever experienced in a hotel. The coffee shop in the lobby is a nice place for a quick breakfast.

Room Tip: They were very helpful getting our three rooms by each other. Just ask and they really try to pleas...

Recently stayed here for the Krewe of Nyx ball and it was a memorable experience. The staff went above and beyond for us. The atmosphere was very welcoming. We stayed with the best and were treated that way.

“Great hotel in a great location.”

The Roosevelt is located just on the edge of the French Quarter. Close enough to walk to but far enough from the noise. This is a very noise hotel which has a long history. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I was however surprised not to find the room made up after being out all day, this brought my review from a 4-5, otherwise very pleased with this hotel and would return again when back in NOLA.
