cons: bad ventilation - halls smelled "old" and we could smell the people before us when we first stepped into the room. tub faucet dripped, sink scratched and pitted, whirlpool not functioning for 2 years, but still advertised in the hotel guide in the room.
PROs: nice size room, EXCELLENT view, all rooms have a deck, quiet, relaxing, cozy, unique, romantic.

This inn was a gem tucked away in the woods. We fell in love with the uniqueness of the inn. It's not the usual hotel with square box areas. The lobby has a two story fireplace that divides the lobby area from a sitting area. It has large rooms with peaked ceilings and private balconies overlooking a wooded area where various animals can be seen such as deer, fox, raccoons, as well as squirrels and a variety of birds. The inn has a lot of charm and warmth. AND, to top it all off, the rates are amazingly low. I would definitely recommend this inn to everyone.

My wife and I stayed on 9/20/10; the one night "Romance Package" for our anniversary. Lots of little things made it not enjoyable. Starting with being checked in to a room already occupied. Although occupants were away at the time - it would have obviously had a guest(s) extremely unhappy. Room clerk never took this seriously when it was brought to her attention. When we were directed to the right room; chilled bottle of wine - no corkscrew, 3 hangars for 2 people just doesn't work, no laundry bag, cold pool. But the red roses were nice. The morning continental breakfast was from 6a.m.to 9a.m. - never heard of one ending that early. What's wrong with 10! There must have been more than a dozen signs in the eating area telling everyone to deposit their dirty dishes in a certain container when finished. Okay, We got it. Anyway, this is not worth the rate.

The same old hotel became clean & friendly under new management.
