We were so surprised at how nice our basic-price room was that we checked to make sure we had reserved correctly. We had. It was lovely. We had a comfortable living room with a TV, a nice little kitchen area with a microwave, sink and refrigerator, and a very comfortable bedroom with a king-size bed and TV. We had a hot breakfast in the morning, made to order. Everything was modern and up-to-date. The staff was very helpful and the location couldn't have been better for us. A great experience.

My husband and I stayed here the weekend of a UW football game and after reading some of the other reviews were expecting a tired and bare basics hotel. This hotel was wonderful! The check-in staff was very friendly. Our room was on the second floor and although there was no elevator, these two senior citizens had no problems with the stairs. We had a king suite which was very well decorated and had no trace of mustiness. It had been well updated with nice linens and furnishings and the bedroom, kitchenette, living area and bath were very clean. The real bonus was the made to order breakfast vouchers we received at check-in. We had a choice of eggs made to order, french toast, pancakes or waffles; each entree could include bacon or sausage (plus hash browns with the eggs). In addition to your breakfast choice, cereal, muffins and different toasts were available. The food was really good and a very nice change from the normal free breakfasts at hotels. On the whole this is a hotel to which we would definitely return.

We find a friendly experienced staff each year we return. We enjoy the good breakfasts. Rooms are comfortable. Great location for our purpoes. Great place to meet family and friends.
We are always made to feel very welcome.

My experience at this hotel was not positive. My husband and I arrived and checked into the hotel to find our room on the 2nd floor with no elevator. So we had to drag many bags up the stairs which never puts your stay off to a relaxing start. Once we checked into our room we found that someone was smoking in a surrounding room so our room smelled like cigarettes. I reported the problem but the smell would re-appear every few days. I feel certain it is a staff member who is smoking on the property.. The hotel hasn't been updated in many years and is definitely due for some updating. The free breakfast wasn't that great either. I would not recommend this hotel.
