“Great last minute deal in Madison!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

We got a room here on new year's eve at the very last minute for $100, including tax. We were upgraded to an executive king room at no charge on top of that deal, too. The hotel was a little hard to find but ended up being in a great location, right along a bike path to downtown Madison. Our cab ride to dinner at capitol square was abt $13, and we actually walked back since cabs were scarce after the bars closed. It takes about an hour, but the walk goes along the lake. Staff was really nice. The beds were firm and comfy, and best of all the place was CLEAN, which is the most important part. Will be back on future trips to Madison!

“A Madison Place to Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

Yolanda, the manager, runs a great hotel. While most of our stays are for business, this one is for pleasure. The hotel is ideally located in Madison, just a short, easy drive to downtown and the capitol. Even though this is a traditional HIEx, this place is very clean and all of the staff are incredibly accomodating, meeting even the most unique requests. It is pet -friendly and our dog is as welcome as we are. Breakfast buffet is traditional for and Express, but food turned over quickly (hence, fresh) and the fruit, etc. is much fresher than many we stay at. A good value for a relaxing stay. As a business owner, I would stay here as well.

“Madison Fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2011

We go to Madison several times a year and we love staying here! It is an easy location as it is only a couple minutes' drive to get downtown. Certain evenings they have a free drink/appetizer social in the lobby, which was a lot of fun. We also like the pool and whirlpool area.

“Nice staff clean, reliable.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2011

I stayed at this hotel while in town for a business meeting. I was there for 3 nights. The property is alright - it is a little dated looking, but generally clean.

There's a breakfast buffet that was pretty good. I liked the coffee especially. In the evenings they have free drinks (I think just wine and beer) and snacks. They do limit the drinks for each person, so no one goes overboard.

The room was clean and quiet. I could hear a few bumps and toilet flushes but that's it. They are going with the trend of having two sheets and a duvet for the bed linens, which I personally do not like. I'm either too hot or too cold. The room was equipped nicely with iron, hair dryer, mini fridge, microwave, TV, wireless internet (free). I wished there were a few more outlets for charging all my gadgets.

I checked out the exercise room and it was tiny and cramped. They put a mirror on the one wall to make it seem bigger. There is a stationary bike, a treadmill, and an elliptical. I didn't use the equipment, so I don't know how good it works. It looked like good quality equipment.

The staff was very polite and professional. The room was cleaned nicely each day. The shower was a good forcefulness.

Overall, I think it's a good place to stay. Definitely not luxury, but adequate, clean, and safe.
