I stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip in Feb. 2012. An older building that has been very nicely renovated. I had a huge room with 2 queen beds. Quiet and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The work out room was quite nice. I especially liked the food in the restaurant. I recommend the citrus chicken salad - very good. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for one night on a business trip. The staff were all wonderful from the shuttle driver, front desk staff and in the bar and restaurant.
The rooms ate very clean and roomy; however, they really need more outlets near the bed. There was no place to plug my phone and laptop in near the bed. I had to rearrange the alarm click to use that outlet. Everything else was good including the breakfast buffet. Would recommend.

Having put two young adults through UW Madison, I have stayed in this town at least 40 times. In the beginning, I tried a lot of hotels UNTIL I discovered the Double Tree Hotel Madison. Nothing beats the location, the value for money and the staff. Walking distance to the campus, State Street, the Kohl Center and even Camp Randall. Parking is a breeze, tons of restaurants and bars within a short walk. Staff always top notch, friendly and helpful. Great on site bar and breakfast restaurant. This is THE choice in downtown Madison. You will not be disappointed. OH and the beds? Fabulous.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were nothing special, but very clean and adequate for a couple of nights stay.
One observation/suggestion.... the morning cleaning crews were "aggressive". Maybe we should have used the "Do Not Disturb" signs. But each morning they knocked on the doors beginning around 8:45. Then again a half hour later. If you like sleeping in, like we do on vacations, then use the signs.
Would definitely stay here again.
