“12,000 choice points for this? oy. (note: this property is a used best western-I stayed here when it was a BW-it was $45”
I stayed here using choice points.so.Im not financially insulted.but there are some things that need to be noted.I will not slam the property, as they did give me a 1pm checkout, as a choice platinum member, and they didnt beat on the door or otherwise harass me.however.the continental breakfast simply wasn't.no sweets, no pastries, it consisted of a cut up watermelon (I happen to hate melons of all sorts, but moving on) a jar of OJ, and some bread.-(thank god there was a safeway down the block, that I had some of my left over $5 friday chicken from in the room.-I suspect that the nearby mcdonalds gets a LOT of hungry customers from this property.it is an older building, and it technically has a pool hall attached, but it was in use as a 'teen' club on friday, and therefore closed to adults.-the pool, yes, is indoor, but not heated-(thus the closure for winter that another reviewer noted)-I wont NOT stay here again. but I would not pay over $45 cash, and it should be a 6000 point property-as 8000 points or more implies a decent breakfast.-)with that said, the tv works, but there is some serious lighting issues.--most rooms have a little armoir, and bed wasnt too bad IMO.--the 6 outlet in one to adapt the tv alarm clock & coffee maker to one outlet. made me a little nervous, but I assume the FD approved it-the adapter in use IS UL listed.-there is no jacuzzi in the pool area-its actually a wading pool.My decision to stay there was motivated more by location convenience, (I was passing by with 12,000 points in my account, and the blackberry actually made the reservation with no hassles.-i was NOT hit up for a credit card to use my points-i approve of this.)(they have a guest laundry, and there is some kind of semichain brewpub across the street-however, if you walk downtown, you can hit main street brerwery, which sells one of the best scwharzbiers in the southwest in 22oz out the door bottles.).there was a proper non usa today newspaper available in the loby in the am, however the lobby pc (a laptop) had a sign over it, that only email was allowed.(no visiting websites, such as , say, tripadvisor, i presume)-I thought that was odd.-but it is complimentary.all in all, its ok, but its NOT worth 12,000 points., or over $45/night cash) 8,000 points at most.,is this property's true worth-(also; pets: yes, but $10.00 surcharge)
