We stayed here back in June without knowing there was a huge biker festival going on. I wondered why the price was high for a kind of budget hotel. There are biker bars on either side, so if you are a biker this is your place. Bikers like to rev their engines at 7:00 am though when they take off riding in the mountains, apparently. It has been redone with granite counters, nice TV, wireless, nice bed, but not worth $100 a night. We were glad to have the fridge and microwave for our leftovers and drinks. It is across the street from the horse racetrack too, so it would be great for that. I noticed the bikers like the back area because their bikes are safer and the front part seemed to be more families. Probobly good for staying at so the kids can go to Magic Springs for example. It would be a good choice for kids in summer because of the outdoor pool and full breakfast, which was really good, sausage, eggs, gravy, biscuits in a nice sunny dining room. The ladies doing the breakfast were very helpful and kept everything stocked at all times. The pool was nice and the employees let us stay past closing time which was nice. We had been out sight seeing all day and were ready for a swim-some other folks were there too. It is really not far from downtown at all either which is what we were touring. It depends on what activity you are in Hot Springs for really as to whether this would be a good choice. It's not romantic, if that is what you are after, but it is probably usually a good value for families, bikers, or Oaklawn fans at different times of the year. If having a good breakfast included is important, they are on it! For romance, I would pay the extra money at stay at one of the awesome spa hotels on Bath House Row.
