...you stayed at this hotel when you see some of the others downtown. My boyfriend and I stayed here because we were on a budget, and it was only seventy dollars a night (on a race weekend) we really weren't expecting much at all. I was impressed as soon as we came in, the room was bigger than I expected for a single. There was a mini fridge, coffee maker, desk, hangers: all the little things that are sometimes screwed up when you stay at a discount hotel were spot-on here. The shower curtains have a bar that curves out, which I thought was nice, I always feel trapped in the little hotel shower/bath combos. Basically it was just a room, but as soon as we drove downtown we became VERY grateful we had stayed there. Alot of the hotels down there look plain dirty, maybe they're nicer on the inside but I would have been apprehensive as soon as we pulled up to anyplace that looked like most of them did.
My only complaints: the hot tub wasn't working (jets, but cold water), and they seem to have washed our towels and taken my extra even though we hung them up to indicate we wanted to keep them. However, if we had cared that much it would have been easy to go down to the desk and grab another.
To summarize: good, clean place to stay, especially if (like us) you just need a place to keep your luggage and sleep. If you're going to go with a chain, this is a good bet.
