The quiet ambience of Abelard and its romantic naming brought me here, and I was enfolded in the hospitality of Ms. Miller. Her morning omelet was fluffy and the welcoming kitchen, and whole inn, inviting. A world traveler, not only was the hostess knowledgeable about the history of Hot Springs, but is a literary buff with many travel miles to her credit. Great bathrooms, comfy welcoming rooms, extra large bathrooms. The excellent location makes it possible to pop in and out and see the downtown area on foot, a real relief.

Overall, our stay at the abelard inn was not bad. It is in a great location in dowtown hotsprings and you can walk wherever you would like. As for accommadations, my wife nor I felt that the room was very clean, but Terry was nice and breakfast was good during our stay. Also, the cat is real and did jump on the table during breakfast while we were eating. If you are not a cat lover or have allergies definitely consider another location. Lastly, as for accomadations the room walls were not "paper thin", except for the bathrooms which butt up to the other bedroom and you can hear everything there. Rooms have no windows which is nice for those who want to sleep the day away.

Abelard Inn was the most beautiful B&B i have ever stayed in. The ambiance is very elegant but still manages to convey a sense of welcome and relaxation. And the food... the food is to die for. The proprietor Terry is so kind and welcoming, she seems willing to accomadate for specific needs and wants. As for the nitty gritty, it is so spotless, the rooms are well equipped and all my needs as well as wants were met. I would and have reccommend this place to anyone I know. I can't wait until I can go back and stay again....I wonder what she will cook next time, yummy

Walls are paper thin so you can hear everything going on in other room (or kitchen). We went for our anniversary. Host (Terri) did not want to share coffee for in-room coffeemaker plus acted as if it was an inconvenience to make it while she was making breakfast. There were NO snacks provided, as stated. Georgeous cat that got on the table to eat breakfast with us though. Only one door in / out and the gate is locked, surrounded by a high brick fence. I worried what we would do in case of a fire the whole time we were there, since the kitchen is in between the exit and the locked gate to get out. I could go on and on. Would not reccomend! Also had sticky mouse traps throuout house, including our room! Cat brought live lizzard in through cat door and it got loose-don't know where it went.
