I have stayed here several times. This hotel is alike fort, very unique. The standard room is very big. The bath room is big too. The breakfast is delicious. You can choose every room and you will find (almost) all views are very nice. The rate is reasonable, good value for money. Only view distance you can reach mall, namely Palembang Trade Center. So dont worry about what you want to eat. If you like night life, the lower ground floor is the place for fun until 2 am.

This hotel is my 1st priority if I went to Palembang.

a very friendly hotel with nice environment. Service is good. rooms are too small. I am a little disturbed by the noise from the air conditioner. Swimming pool very nice but the food and drinks order are abit slow.

The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The service is also good and the staff is very friendly. However, there is not enough vegetarian food available in the hotel. There should be more vegetarian meals and also the Cafe Latte at the bar in the lobby is not very good.

My wife and I were in town visiting relatives and decided to splurge. It is a very nicely laid out property and comfortable rooms. We also planned a family dinner at the restaurant for New Year's Eve - a little pricey, but we thought on par with the hotel. After putting down a cash deposit, was informed about 24 hours in advance of the dinner that we invited 20+ people to, that Novotel was not going to honor the quoted price and wanted to double it because of the day. Seriously unprofessional for what I thought was a Western-style chain. Some dispute about whether we'll even get the deposit back. No wonder they wanted cash!

Call me naieve, but I would seriously recommend against staying at a place where they make up the rules as they go.
