We loved this unpretentious hotel in the old Balinese style with each private bungalow overlooking beautiful gardens and with a delightful outdoor bathroom. The hotel is small which to us is a plus. The generous pool overlooks the beach in one direction and has a superb mountain backdrop in the other. We ate in 'our' restaurant three meals a day which was more than adequate. You don't come to Pemuteran to eat, you come for a simple quiet relaxing experience and some snorkeling thrown in the clear clean waters. Massages are available at other resorts along the beach. Only negative, surfaces are rather hard throughout the resort, especially the enticing daybead. The staff are great. We really recommend Pemuteran and the Tamin Selini.

A swimming pool facing the mountains and a restaurant serves good food. Just few miles away from National Forest and diving facilities.

To get a motorbike for only 60 thousand rupiah ( less than £5) for all day and a litre petrol only 50p you cannot ressist but the exploring the area yourself.

My wife and I anr from Lancashire, England, and stayed in room 3 for 4 days at the start of November. We love this place ! After 4 hours driving from the airport, the reception from the staff was so welcoming, warm and friendly. The whole atmosphere of Taman Selini is relaxing, and serene, amongst the beautiful tropical gardens, kept immaculately.
Our cottage was delightful. Spotlessly clean, and decorated with fresh flowers every day. The main room was spacious and airy, the large bed really comfortable. The open air, private bathroom at the back is a lovely touch. A large verandah at the front looks over the gardens, but is private. The day-bed there is a good idea, but the mattress was a bit hard!
Good food in the restaurant, and good value, including a decent breakfast. Service here, and elsewhere in the hotel, was excellent.
Direct access to the best part of the beach along the bay, and right next door to the coral regeneration project, so you could snorkel straight from the shore. The tides sometimes carried some litter and bits of plastic, but nothing too troublesome.
Just further along are several dive/snorkel operators who take daily trips to Pulau Menjangaan, for terrific coral and tropical fish. Highly recommended!
For airport transfer, we strongly recommend the hotel's own taxi. The drive was smooth and relaxing, unlike others we had in Bali ! The driver was also very informative.

We fully relaxed at Taman Selini. It was much more expensive than our other stays in Bali, but it also had more to offer, with a beautiful setting and a quiet, romantic resort feeling. You can book ahead and pay online by credit card. We found some excellent snorkeling, with advice from the helpful staff at nearby Reef Seen. The beach is nice for walks but the black sand is too hot in the afternoon! We found Pemuteran to be hot and dry in October. Wireless internet is available but costs extra. Quality of service was good overall, but varied, and was not as friendly as elsewhere on Bali. The bungalows are beautiful and spacious with nifty outdoor bathrooms. We loved the daily flower arrangements on our huge four poster bed.
