“Good stay for an excellent price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 November 2011

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on our way to Minnesota on the night before Thanksgiving. We had a late arrival (around 11 PM) and there was no one at the desk when we arrived. Working at a hotel, I understand that costs don't allow for extra personnel, so we were fine waiting a few minutes for the front desk clerk to arrive. When she did arrive, she wasn't extremely happy to see us and was on the brink of being curt. We had a swift check in thankfully and were sent to our rooms. The room was nice for the price that we paid (through Priceline- awesome!). However, like the other reviews mentioned, the room is showing some signs of age- the carpet was tearing away from the trim around the bathroom door, and the bathtub/shower needs re-caulking and the door frame to the bathroom looked like it was falling off. The breakfast was awesome- we're suckers for fresh hot waffles. The ladies in the breakfast area were kind, clean and efficient. The lady who checked us out was friendly as well. Overall, it was a good experience that served its purpose of a good night's sleep.

“Nice Hotel but showing age”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

Stay here for a weekend with daughter's softball team. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which as very nice and roomy. Each room with it's own bathroom. The kids got their own bed, one in the room and one on the sofa bed. Beds were very comfortable. Rooms are showing their age. Kitchen floor had spaces in the wood and warping. The drywall seams were cracking and falling off the wall. Curtains were a bit dirty but when aren't they? When you turned on the cold water in one of the bathroom sinks the pipes rattled loudly. Property was quiet. Did not hear anything in the hallway but we were in a corner suite too. There was a nice outdoor courtyard in the middle of the hotel with 2 large BBQ's. Pool area was clean and the public restrooms were spotless.

Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy your normal cereal, waffles, toast, muffins, etc. Didn't have any complaints about it. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. Always cleaned. One complaint I have is that they allow dogs. One morning while going to breakfast one dog had vomited all down the hall. The owner was cleaning it up but it was nasty first thing in the morning. The other complaint was that my 13 year old was walking to our room from her friends room, 3 males were in the hallway and wanted to know if she "wanted to f**k in the hot tub". Needless to say we reported it to the front desk immediately. She was scared and ran to our room. It's probably not safe to let a 13 year old walk alone in a hotel but thinking it was only a floor above us, I didn't see a problem with it. It's not the hotels fault for other people being idiots but we reported it in case they did it again.

Used the laundry room. There were 3 washing machines and 4 dryers which was nice because you didn't have to wait for one. There was a nice folding counter and sink. Even had 2 chairs and table to sit and wait. It was quite pricey to do a load. $2.00 each to wash and dry.

Overall, I would stay here again. It definitely beats the Fairfield Inn next door.

“Room fine - wish I still had my earrings”

The room was okay. Spacious and clean. Everything was comfortable except the fold out bed.

My complaint is that my earrings were stolen from my room. I called and spoke with the assistant manager, who was going to discuss with the manager and get back to me. I never received a follow-up call from her. Extremely disappointed.

“If only all hotel staff were this nice.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2011

We stayed here for a trip to Arrowhead stadium for a football game. The front desk staff were over the top helpful and friendly. The whole place from pool, to room, to eating area was sparkling clean. We slept great in our bed- very comfy. We only stayed a night, but the room size was great. The whirlpool was the nicest one I've seen in a long time. The water was actually so clear you could see to the bottom! Usually they are a bit murky.....
Breakfast had amazing choices- scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, oatmeal, dry cereal, fruit, muffins, waffles, etc. We will definitely stay at a Residence Inn again if we get a chance!

“Would stay here again”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2011

Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. One word of caution though- currently, there is construction going on in the parking lot / exterior of the building. This is NOT posted on the hotel website. If you are expecting to sleep in during the week, it will not happen. CALL shortly before your expected arrival to confirm the construction status. We have family in the area and always stay in a hotel when in town. I would stay here again, but if I could get the much newer Drury Inn (they have some suites) or the Staybridge Suites for near the same price, I would do so.( I have not tried these yet as they are newer). Nothing really wrong with this hotel- the others are just newer.

Room Tip: If windows are imprtant to you, make sure to request a room that has a window in the bedroom area if...
