The room was excellent but the service was very slow. They gave us a temporary room till getting our room ready. They left us till 2:45 pm waiting and whenever call the receiption they were answering by "it will be ready soon". They were careless. Housekeeping response was also slow.

This is our second stay at the Lake Palace. The restaurant was closed and temporarily moved to the Banquet hall. Considering that December is peak season, and we were not informed about the ongoing renovation work, the room rates were peak season rates.

We stayed 3 nights at this property. The rooms are excellent with lots of space and very comfortable beds. The in-room facilities are first class with free wi-fi and a great selection of tv channels. The views from the lake-front rooms are superb. Service was excellent during our stay and the complementary sunset cruise is delightful. Transfers to and from the island are by ferry and are very enjoyable and we had no mosquito problem. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I mislaid my kindle and a staff member followed me to Kochin with it, a 2 hour drive!
No hesitation in recommending this hotel to our friends and we will definitely return next year.

We spent a day here. Location is average. Looks better in photographs than it actually is.

Ayurvedic spa treatment was a disaster with the facial being a "rip-off-her-skin" experience and the sauna was just limited to being locked, yes locked, in a tiny tiny dark room with no lights or music.
The biggest shock was when one of our jackets got stolen and no one from the front desk or resort did absolutely anything about it.
Food was very average.
For the money we spent over new year's eve, it was a sad experience.
