If u r looking for a resort with a homely touch, well this is the place that u should go to. Manager Sabu and his team would ensure that his guests are treated well. I would not recommend this resort to people who look for great luxury because this resort clearly lacks the same but genuinely this deserves to be called -A Home away from Home. My wife even gave some Semolina(suji) to be made into a "halwa" for my 2 year old son and they did it happily.I will never forget this incident and had never expected that request to be kept.

Being able to fish from one's balcony is a dream. I got this fulfilled here.

The standard of this hotel is very poor,the rooms are dismal and not as described on the various websites, we booked an a/c deluxe room in mid dec 2011 and it was terrible.
The hotel and the management was pathetic,
The only positive comment was the location and the food.

We went to this hotel in January first week and booked three cottages there. The hotel location is very good and the cottages are good sized and have balconies facing backwater. Manager Sabu & the staff are good and they give you home like treatment. Food is also good. You can only reach through boat to this resort. This is a basic resort but the prices charged are also quite reasonable. We booked one night houseboat and one night stay at resort with them and found it really good.

I had booked this hotel after reading good reviews about it on this site but our experience was really pathetic and will not recommend others to book this place. We stayed there for 1 night on 30th Dec. We had booked an A/C cottege and booking was done in Oct 1st week through a travel agent. After reaching there the Manager, Mr. Sabu, told us that cottege is not available and gave us A/C dlx room. He even said that I don't care even if your travel agent complains about it as he gives us very less bookings. He did the same thing with 3 other cpls including one cpl from US. Later on we came to know that he had given those cotteges to some family who bribed him as they had bookings for std room. Now, to make things worse, it rained very heavily there for whole night, due to which lot of water started leaking in our room and also power went. Their Generator was also not working. In the morning the helper took out 2 buckets of water which got collected in our room due to leakage.

Food also is not good but you have to eat it as you can't go anywherevelse. The service is also very pathetic.

This is 10 year old property and a house has been converted to resort with some jugaad. No hot water facility inside the room. No vehicle can go there and boat is the only means of transportation. After 30 mins drive from Alleppey you will reach to a small village from where the boat will pick you and after a 10 mins ride you will reach at the resort.

My suggestion to everyone gonig to Alleppey is DON'T BOOK THIS RESORT. Otherwise your holiday will get ruined.
