“good visit with some hiccups”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2011

The visit was really wonderful.
The food was just out of the world. We stayed only for a night.
The only problem was the AC. Even we had booked a complete 24 hours AC houseboat, the AC was atrocious. We felt the heat even in December. It was better to stay outdoor then in the AC room. They put us in a 3 bedroom houseboat even if I just wanted a single room for both of us. I dont know what the problem was !! I asked the crew, but they could not do anything. I think the generator was old or something. I dont know what is the condition of guests in May or June that too when all 3 rooms are occupied. I hope they do something about it soon. I would not recommend it to anyone till they get the AC going properly. Otherwise its just too good.

To start with it was a wonderfull experience in Alleppey Backwater. Right from the word go till the end it was fun filled experience. Thought of relaxing for the Holidays decided for a cruise in the backwater and it was Aleppey the destination for us. Browsed many website atlast found a very good one Seasons Cruise. Contacted Seasons Cruise via e-mail and it was a man with kind words replied back with the details of the House boat and the man was Mr. Joffy, yes he is a real Gentleman. It was a wonderfull experience for my family, I booked a Premium House boat to spend our day. The House boat was the same that was shown in the website and the room's were to perfection with all the facilities. Food Provide was awsome, i mean it. All the staff in the house boat were very friendly and total privacy was maintained. Enjoyed the trip in the house boat, worth spending. Joffy thanks for the wonderfull hospitality that you provided during our journey and i recommend Seasons Cruise House boat.

“Awsome Hoseboat Cruise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2010

Just two words to describe my experience "simply awsome". The hoseboat was very nice (deluxe room with AC, Alleppy round) and the crew (Mr. Santosh the Captain and Mr. Shiva the Cook) was extremely caring. The hospitality extended by the boat manager Mr. Kunjumon made this trip extra special for me. I never felt I was away from home.

Personal attention paid by Mr. Joffy (the owner) is very impressive. They delivered what they promised and with a touch of personal attention and warmth.

Thank you Season's Cruise!! I wish to return soon...

“Very good all-round experience!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 July 2010

We (group of 6) decided to embark on a backwater cruise in July and selected Seasons Cruise as it came to us with good recommendations from a friend and a few travel websites including TripAdvisor. The interactions from the onset with Joffy (guess the Manager of Season’s cruise) was pleasant and he made sure an Innova (with a good driver) was present at Cochin airport to pick us. We boarded the houseboat called Grace an hour ahead of the regular check-in time of 12 PM as it was drizzling at the boarding point (near Aleppey boat jetty). We had booked a 3 room air-conditioned houseboat for the Aleppey to Kumarakom cruise - each of the rooms was large enough for a couple and had a decent sized bathroom with necessary amenities. The houseboat has a sitting area in the front for at least 8-10 people and a full and well stocked kitchen at the rear. We had requested for a "toddy" shop experience and we were taken to a traditional toddy shop by the bank of the Vembanad lake where we had some toddy (I did not like it personally) and some spicy fish and beef dishes. The lunch and dinner served was fabulous, both in quality and quantity, and comprised of fish (karimeen/pearlspot and seer), prawn, chicken and vegetarian dishes prepared in Malayali style (they can make North Indian varieties if requested early). On the way we stopped at a fish stall and bought some crab and jumbo/tiger prawns (we may have shelled out a bit more than the actual price as we did not know the going rate!), which was as cooked as per our wish, which was very tasty too. The houseboat was docked for the evening and night at around 5 PM, when we were served tea and snacks. Since we opted for the premium package, we were taken for a 45 minute canoe ride through the canals of the lake where we were able to see the late evening activities of the inhabitants in the backwater area. The night was pleasant and we as a group played games and heard songs from the CD player. This houseboat had an LCD TV but did not have a satellite TV connection, though it is provided by some other houseboats. We did not really feel the need to see TV/movies through our 1 night cruise. Finally a big thumbs up to the crew of the houseboat - Mathai, Brijesh and Jayesh, who played along with our requests and tantrums :). Service is definitely an USP of this houseboat. Some words of caution - do make sure you carry some insect repellent creams (like Odomos), lots of games (like cards, monopoly, etc), a good camera to capture your trails/memories and some toilet paper if that’s a habit. The sleep was decent and the breakfast was relishing too (our group folks are big foodies and can relish good food 24/7!). We finally were dropped off at the Zuri Kumarakom's boat jetty which was our next destination. The overall experience was fantastic and we thank Joffy and team for making our stay memorable and comfortable.

“A perfect way to spend a lazy day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 April 2010

Joffy was excellent in helping us to arrange things in advance via email, including a taxi on to Varkala. The houseboat itself was very comfortable and the staff on board were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Food was excellent - enough for far more than the two of us - and washed down with a nice cold Kingfisher. I would definitely use Seasons Cruise again if I was to return to Kerala.
