Moldy smell throughout hotel (water leakeage problems and dehumidifiers running in halls) and worse moldy smell in our first room there, and I was getting headache--staff said it was air freshner that would dissapate as AC recirculated. When I opened dresser drawer to put clothes in, my son and I gasped as we found source of smell--quart of milk that had spilled out and obviously molded in drawer for several weeks---when we opened drawer, had to evacuate immediately as gross sickening smell permeated the entire room and hallway. The other drawers were full of food trash. Door knobs falling off, carpet nasty, sheets were old and itchy (and did not look laundered--did not smell good), bad lighting throughout hotel, old toilets that take 5 minutes to flush and don't flush well--the first room we were put in had no refrig and clerk told us the hotel did not have any refrig.s. After staff saw and smelled the molded milk, they gave us a "suite" which had a small refrig (all frosted up), was just as nasty with nasty drawers full of mud flecks and trash crunchies that hadn't been cleaned (staff came up and vacummed them out) and old itchy sheets, nasty carpet again, doorknobs falling off again, and I questioned if the linens had been laundered at all after last guest left. One TV in the "suite" had poor reception with snow on screen. The hotel was loud as construction workers on hall were partying and drinking beer all night (they were doing repairs at the Sheraton up the street). I woke up at 3:00 a.m. in morning as I could not sleep due to itchy old sheets and noise--wi fi did work, so I started looking at the hotel's reviews on line---thank goodness one Tripadvisor reviewer said how bad it was and how he was happy when he moved to Comfort Suites on Isler Street up the street; so at 5:00 a.m. in morning, I checked out and moved to Comfort Suites up the street, and it was great!!! Plus, the Park Lane charged me for the full week's stay when I checked in (not when I checked out)---it took 3 days for me to get refunded on my credit card, and manager was snippy. Oh, and the "free" breakfast looked nasty like it had been sitting in refrig for weeks covered with saran wrap----all this drama and this place charged $89.00 per night---a total rip-off. Please do not stay there---outside of hotel is deceiving as it looks ok---when you get in, it is a nightmare.
