Stay here quite a bit.

Rooms are clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurant is good.

A little disappointed this time around by light bulbs in the room being burnt out and never replaced upon request; bath tub is peeling; shuttle was out of commission and we had to pay to go most places via taxi. The hotel did accomodate us with courtesy trips via another transportation service in a few cases, but we stay here due to the hotel shuttle.

I enjoyed my 5 days here. Everything was comfortable and pleasant. Free wifi, that was great for me. i did not eat in their restaurant but when i came in , in the evening there always seems to be a good crowd in there. Flat screen tv. Very quite, I sleep good. No compliant. The front desk always greeted me when i came in. The bed sleep sooooo good, i think i laid in one spot all night long.

After a long drive from Elizabeth City, I saw a Holiday Inn billboard advertising new facilities. What I found was a run down, dilapidated facility. The room was damp from the humidity of the constant running AC, the room was very saprse compared to other Holiday Inns I have stayed at. The bathroom was absolutely filthy. Mold and some kind of brownish gunk was on the door frame and along the wall beside the sink and toilet. The tub had hunks of coating missing from it. I will post pics of the conditions. The owners and manager needs to look at the Holiday Inn in Lima, OH and learn from that immaculate facility. The only redeeming qualities to this place was the staff. The bartender and the hostess at breakfast were very nice.

The location is convinent to everything. While the hotel appears to be an old complex it is still shape. The beds were very comforable and the decor was up to date. The first night is appeared that we had the floor to ourselves. The second there were some neighbors but not bad. Check in staff was nice. Picked this via Hot Wire and found that thier write up was an accurate description.
