“Wow... This hotel is simply amazing”

This is the first time I have stayed at this hotel since I was a kid. It still is wonderful. The lobby and features of the hotel are so elegant. The rooms are updated with lots of fresh bath amenities. The bed is incredibly comfortable (best nights sleep in a long time). The hotel is connected to the mall and convention center. There are so many good restaurants near by (I recommend Darryl's) but the hotel also has several restaurants to choose from. Stay here!!!!

“nice place, huge, lots of events”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Nice room on a high floor, great views of the surrounding country. Large windows, big room with seating area. 2 sinks (one in bath and one outside) a plus for traveling family.

Our problem was that when we checked in, the signage directed us to a covered area wth revolving door that led to the front desk, but it said it would be locked at 10pm and it was 9:55... caused us to rush around, since the car was not convenient to the door they keep open all the time. The signs outside should not direct to a door that does not have 24 hour access.

“Overall great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

I just stayed there for the first time. Overall it was a great hotel.
The bed was very comfortable. They had great bath accessories. I loved the little bath scrub ball!
The only negative was the coffee,it was very bad.
Half of the bars were not open, which made the hotel feel a little bit empty.

“Could be a strong 3 star with some renovations”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

I stayed here one night for a business trip and it's not up to par with similar starred Sheratons. This hotel is pretty outdated. The bed will provide a good night sleep, the room service food is great! The location is conveniently across the street from a mall and nearby average restaurants. The service was just hit and miss. We dealt interacted with a woman who was a floor supervisor that was very accommodating, while the manager in the evening suggested we use a comment card when we complained about the room being loud since it was next to the elevator. Annoying! I would prefer not to stay here again, but If I had to I wouldn't cry about it. All in all, If you don't have high expectations and your looking for a good location and a good night sleep, not a bad choice.

Room Tip: Request a room away from the elevator.

“Nice place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

I stayed here two nights while attending a trade show at the hotel. In many ways this is a great place. It was very clean, the staff was very friendly and effective (the iron in my room was broken -- and replaced within minutes of contacting the staff, plus a followup phone call "Is everything else fine?"), the conference facilities, including reception and luncheon setups, were top notch. I had three room-service meals, all were very tasty, prompt, and had ONLY the 15% gratuity added, unlike many places that add another $3 or so deliver fee. Plus, free internet, which many "business" type hotels charge for.

In other words, a nice place in almost every way. What's to complain about? Well, the bathroom really needs updating. It has the nice curved shower rod, but otherwise seems 20 years old. Chrome on the fixtures wearing off, lots of caulk in the shower, just plain dated.

Let me be clear: I would not hesitate to stay here again. The room itself seems reasonably up-to-date, with nice furnishings, decent-size flat screen, etc. I just can't give it five stars because of the bathroom being somewhat dated and worn.

Room Tip: South tower has the nice, high rooms.
