There is considerable potential for improvement in the management. The lodge and surroundings are simply crying for basic maintenance efforts. Steps are not repared, chairs not replaced when they reach retirement status. When you ask for a missing napkin or glass, it is simply taken from another setting on the table. When that guest arrives, the missing items are again taken from somewhere else on the table....or from the neighbouring table, and so on until the staff is out of table supply and must go to the cabinet....ten steps from the table.
The prices are top end, the value at the opposite end. At half the cost it would be too much.
The "complimentary" glass of "champagne" (actually Spanish Cava, black Freycinet, cheap sparkling wine) served to everyone standing around on New Year's Eve turned up on my bill, as 1 Glass of Champagne sh.10,000.-. Come on!
