“Chimp trekking starting point”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2011

This lodge is located next to the entrance of the chimp trekking starting point and Uganda Wildlife Authorisation office so the location can't be better.
In the morning you can walk to the office in less then a minute.
The lodge is nice but the rooms needs some approvement. The water pressure of the shower is low and the temperature is not constant. The light in the room is poor.
The food is fantastic and very tasty and the staff is great, correct and friendly.

“Top location and accommodation for chimpanzee habituation trekking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2010

Excellent location for day-long Chimpanzee habituation experience and trekking day.
Very accommodating staff, service and well adjusted to our diet requirements.
We stayed in secluded double tent, spacious with plenty warm water for shower. Only a little distance from reception and restaurant.
Good mosquito control; we found none. Tea room/tent service in bed.
Splendid environment with real safari feeling.
We had only one night.
One of the most luxorious accommodations.
The hotel also had cabins and a small single bed backpackers tree house (hut) next to a swamp.

“Enjoyable stay in Kibale”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2010

We had a very enjoyable stay here in one of the luxury tents. The tent was nice and secluded, spacious and well maintained however the water pressure in the bathroom was very low and the solar lighting a bit dim. I understand that electrical sockets are due to be installed so that you can charge your gear which will be a nice addition (& the cottages already have them). We thought the food was average to good and the service welcoming friendly and efficient. We'd be very happy to stay here again.

“A bit expensive”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2010

This place is nice with very helpful staff. They are always behind you witch can be very annoying. Although the room is huge and very nice I would recommend checking other options. I heard from people that stayed in Fort Portal had a better and cheaper experience.

“Brilliant Lodge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2010

A lovely lodge, in a great setting in Kibale forest, very close to the Park Headquarters, for the start of chimpanzee trekking. The luxury tents were brilliant, very comfortable & quite secluded from each other. The manager & staff were exceptionally friendly & helpful, & nothing was ever too much trouble. Excellent food, thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay, a great lodge all round, & would highly recommend.
You can choose to stay in a tree house for one night, some way from the main camp, more basic but great fun, with the chance to see forest elephants, ( apparently mostly in the rainy season).
