We recently had a short 2 night stay at this luxury camp. Alberto does a wonderful job managing the place. The Italian-inspired menu was very tasty with some surprising touches. Our "tent" was a very private, well-appointed bedroom and bathroom overlooking the river. The frogs and crickets are very loud at night and that adds to the experience. We enjoyed watching the bush babies get fed at 7 pm each night. We had a lovely candlelit dinner by the pool which was very special. Our guide, Joyall did a terrific job showing us all of the animals during our private safari. Lovely spot. Wished we had booked another night.

Room tip: The tent that is on the river was great!

We stayed at Rhino River camp over 1 year ago.. delayed review but needed to be done!
Food is amazing and the tents are true luxury.
We stayed in the tent that was called Tarzan, built over the river. Very private and made us feel like part of the wild. We were lucky to have the camp all to ourselves.
Great food, nice staff and poolside is unique.
Tip - dont drive there, take a flight!

The Rhino River Camp ranks top on my safari camp experiences in Kenya. The unique combination of being luxurious and affordable makes this an excellent choice. The manager, Alberto, runs the camp flawlessly and the staff and game drive guides are outstanding. I have been on several safaris over the past two years and this camp is by far the most relaxing with the best food…Italian. The atmosphere is very safe and care is taken to ensure their guests security in and outside the camp. The tents are beautiful with full amenities, each having a separate living room tent, as well. The tents all look over a breathtaking stream with small waterfalls and lush forests. This safari experience is also unique in that, right outside the camp, you first enter the Rhino park with large numbers of rhinos. You then proceed into the Meru National Park, where the variety of animals increase. There is much to do with a 3-4 day stay, including hiking and swimming at the beautiful terraced pool. This is one of those gems I am willing to share because it is so special. If you want more of a secluded private safari experience the Rhino park and Meru National Park are a perfect choice.

Room tip: All the camp tents are fantastic. There are tents which also accommodate families and honeymooners. The wifi is in the main camp common areas.

Spent part of my honeymoon,4 amazing nights at RRC.The camp gives you a homely feel.Alberto and Lorenzo are very amiable guys.Paul spotted animals that we would never see even with the binoculars(I have amazing photos of a leopard atop a tree).Meal times were imes to look forward to:The Italian menu was amaazing. We got the tent right next to the river and one would be forgiven for thinking it was raining throughout the night. On the final day Alberto and team surprised us with packed lunch and they all came to bid us farewell and a happy life ahead.Truly felt like leaving home and all relations sad to see you leave.Alberto and team.My wife and I will soon be back.

We spent several nights at the boundary of Meru National Park in this lovely, private camp. The affable and charming manager, Alberto, was eager for conversation and always curious to know how our stay was going. He went to great lengths to ensure our special needs were accommodated. The staff were all respectful, polite and professional. The chef prepared restaurant-quality Italian meals presented buffet-style. Our "tent" was spacious, tastefully designed and situated close to a relaxing brook. All the accommodations seem to be situated to maximize privacy. The park itself, unlike some other wildlife destinations in Kenya, is not congested and an excellent place to see rhinos as well as other wildlife without the usual crowds.
