I was hoping to give a good review but I’m afraid I have to bring up some issues I had staying here. My co-worker and I were on a business trip and planned on staying here for 2+ weeks. We stayed here because we needed a kitchenette. We booked a suite and were greeted by a very nice woman at the counter. I read previous reviews and was a little worried but I figured since the manager responded to the complaints, maybe the issues were fixed. Well, here are some of our own issues we ran into…
We were put in a first floor suite and as I was setting up my stuff in the bathroom I saw a small bug run across the counter, I didn’t think it was a big deal at first until we turned the lights on in the kitchen. Several bugs were coming out of the disposal; we washed them down the drain and let it go. The next day the bugs got bigger, I want to say roach like but not as big and then more bugs in the drain. That was enough so we went to the front desk and told her our issue. She immediately switched our room to the 2nd floor. When we got in the room there was a very strong odor, almost like a cover up from someone that smoked. The carpets were stained and overall the room seemed run down. The shower was newer and the room was pretty clean considering, but the initial impression pretty much ruined our stay.
Another issue I had was the cleaning crew. I didn’t have to work until later in the afternoon and in order to get sleep I wore headphones so I didn’t wake up to the outside noise. I was fine with that since I had odd hours. I put the do not disturb sign on the door, but thought I heard knocking on the door a few times. When I left for work I saw the sign was gone so the next day I decided to deadbolt the door so I wasn’t disturbed. Well, the next few days I realized they were constantly trying to get in the room. They would knock, try to get in and knock again. What did they not get about the door being locked??
We told our VP’s about the issues we were having and they had us immediately check out and move to another hotel. Talk about an inconvenience!
