“Dont believe their "Economic Stimulas package"”

I called to make a reservation after seeing thier specials page say all Queen beds were $70 plus tax. When I called he told me the room would be $85 a night. I said I had just seen on their website that the rooms with queen size beds were all $70. His response to me was not in October. It says nothing of this on their web page. NOT a good way to start off an experience with a Bed & Breakfast....

We have stayed at the Olde English Tudor Inn numerous times. The Inn is located on the side of amountain in the center of downtown yet is very quiet. The accomodations are always clean, comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast is incredible. The owner and staff are friendly and very accomodating.

“Great place for a relaxing weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 February 2008

We stayed at the Olde English Tudor Inn for a weekend getaway without the kids. We were looking for a place that was quiet and relaxing and that is exactly what we found at this Inn. We will definately be back! Our room was very romantic and the Inn was away from the noise and crowds, but just a few streets from downtown Gatlinburg. Breakfast as well as the coffee and conversation with the innkeeper was exactly what we were looking for. We just walked downstairs and drank coffee with our host while he prepared a wonderful breakfast. We left with the feeling that we had been visiting with an old friend. We looking forward to coming back for a visit at the Olde English Tudor Inn.

“The BEST experience EVER!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 December 2007

This place was wonderful. Steve's collection of antique books, his father's wood working skills, coffee and conversation about these things over his homemade breakfast was a wonderful experience that you won't get in any hotel. The walk IS short to the main road. The user below who said it was a long walk, tried to walk the way they drove in. A simple right turn at the bottom of the hill and you're on the main drag in less than 2 minutes. A simple and pleasant walk. The room the other user complained about was the basement that is being remodeled. We will be happy to stay in it when its finished! We will be back!

“Great time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2007

When I was reviewing B&B's on Trip Advisor this year, there was nothing recent on The Olde English Tudor Inn. I went with old reviews and decided to take a chance. We had no problem making the reservation by phone reserving the rooms we needed. There were 4 of us, needing 2 rooms. When we arrived, we were a little hesitant. The Inn is rather dark inside, but actually probably much like an English Inn. One of the innkeepers(husband) spoke with us as we pulled up and was very friendly. As we walked in, the wife immediately had our bill out and asked how we were paying. This put us off a bit as we wanted to see the place. Anyway, she showed us around and showed us our rooms. First impression: one room was very dark with very little sunlight coming in, the other very bright with an entire wall of windows. Also noticed that the ceiling vents and ceiling hadn't been cleaned for awhile - appeared slightly moldy. Ok.......so we got past that, and had a fantastic stay!! The 2 rooms we stayed in (Queen's and Knight's) were quite large and roomy, with a king bed and a day bed that had a trundle beneath. The "dark" room really wasn't all that dark - lighting was great. Steve is in the Inn most all day every day and is wonderful. Linda was working and we didn't get to spend much time with her after our first meeting.

Breakfast was good and plentiful. Not gourmet, but very tasty and lots of it. Sometimes regular breakfasts are welcome over the gourmet stuff morning after morning. Steve accomodated us with an early breakfast one morning that we had an early hike planned. There were a lot of return guests there - they come year after year, so that tells you something. We would definitely be return guests!

Location couldn't be better! Just past light #7 and up a hill. Can't hear any downtown noise, yet only takes an able bodied person 5-10 minutes to walk. It's downhill to town, and uphill to the Inn, but the uphill isn't bad at all. We had a terrific stay. Only problems (and I believe Steve and Linda are working on them)......are some of the mattresses need replacing. The Knight's room was fine, but the Queen's is in desparate need of a new mattress.
