Went to Gatlinburg for weekend getaway. Cabins were just a short drive to the strip, but far enough away for some privacy. Cabin was very clean (including spotless dishes and whirpool tub). I highly recommend this cabin as an affordable getaway for any couple. Their smaller cabins are studio style (only one room), but it was much larger than we expected. Once again the PRICE was great just as advertised on website, no ?FEES? .

My wife and I wanted an affordable alternative to the crowded and congested motels on the parkway in Gatlinburg for our anniversary and found Rainbow Log Cabin Rentals on the web. We stayed in the one bedroom cabin #5. You get your key at their office on US 321 and then go to the cabin. The cabin is conveniently located on a wooded hillside above light #2 off the parkway (US 441) in Gatlinburg making it very convenient to go to Pigeon Forge. You could walk down the hill and go to the parkway but we choose to drive down. The cabin was absolutely beautiful, very clean and well taken care of. It had about everything you would need for a week’s getaway including a stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, towels, utensils to cook with, shampoo, soap, etc. The cabin is air conditioned and has a ceiling fan above the main room. The cabin’s website www.rainbowlogcabinrentals.com has pictures. You can book online though many times I got a message that the service was unavailable. You can always call their number and the owners are very nice. I liked the high vaulted ceiling in the main room because it gave a nice open feel that you could not get in a motel room. The bathroom just has a shower and toilet and the sink area is just outside the bathroom door and has two sinks. The wooden ceiling and large wooden slabs on the exterior walls gave the place that “log cabin” feel. The in-room Jacuzzi was wonderful and the fireplace looked inviting though we did not use it since we were there in July. It had a TV with cable and a VCR/DVD player attached. There was a chest of drawers and a night stand to put things in as well as a closet. The porch overlooked a wooded hillside and had two rocking chairs and swing. The price that we got was actually cheaper than some of the motels on the parkway.

On the negative side the cabin we were in (#5) did not have a mountain view and you get some of the parkway noise when on the porch including a loud speaker from the Hillbilly Golf place on the other side of 441 (I think that's were it came from). We really did not notice it much inside and late in the evening it seemed very peaceful with the crickits cherping away. Also our mattress, though fairly comfortable, “squeaked” and could use an upgrade. I mentioned this to the owners upon checking out. The eating space is a small counter with bar stools.

Overall we were very pleased and would consider visiting again. If you don’t care about a mountain view and want an affordable and more private alternative to a motel room it would be great.

We stayed at the Rainbow Log Cabins after finding them on the Internet. Cabin 11 slept 6 and since we had the grandparents with us it was a perfect fit. It had a gas grill, two bedrooms and two baths, whirlpool tub, and a hot tub in a screened in porch. They were very reasonably priced compared to the other Gatlinburg cabins and were up in the hills away from the commotion. We all thought it was the quietest place we'd ever been except for the occasional woodpecker. This is a great place for kids and adults and a nice to place to unwind after a busy day. Helpful staff too!

Stayed in cabin 33 and would recommend to anyone. Everyone I dealt with was wonderful and had no problems! It's about 5 miles from downtown Gatlinburg. The view was amazing frmo the deck. It was exactly as described on the website! If you stay here, there is no option to walk to attraction, there is free parking on River Road!
