One member says you need better photos of the Crossroads on your website. But what you have now and what Expedia and Hotels.com show are NOT of the Crossroads. There is no lake in downtown Gatliburg!!! I have no idea what motel those pictures are of on those 2 sites as of 10/26/11, but if you want to see what the Crossroads REALLY is, go to Orbirtz. Those pictures and 360s are off the Crossroads! Hopefully Trip Advisor, Expedia and Hotels make a correctdion or some might be rather surprised to get to Gatlinburg and find no pretty lake or nice indoor pool!!!
I'd guess the joint was from the 70s but it has been kept up rather well. I like the outdoor entrances. There were chairs out to sit and watch the sights of the parkway. I was on the 4th floor in a hot tub suite, what a way to travel. Huge hot tub, bubbled great, lots of hot water. 2 room suite with large LR and small BR, separate bath which was looking its age. 2 TVs, tube type, lots of channels. 2 A/C units. LR unit was late model, LOUD!!! BR unit was brand new, quiet when blowing & heating but when compressor and outdoor fan came on for cooling it was pretty loud too. Also blew right on the sleepers in bed. Someone needs to aim the louvers up. Takes a screwdriver, hello maintenance! Fireplace didn't work but was start of season. Wireless internet barely usable, at one point I had to go out outside to increase signal enough to finish what I was doing.
Yes, why bother with a couple of little donuts and teeny muffins, I ate at the Atrium.
Never seen so many motels in one area ranging from $30 on up. This one is probably typical and good location. Especially in the summer when the pool & hot tub were usable it would be worth considering.
