This is really a good motel and yes its an older motel but super clean the front desk were very friendly and the Lady that does the breakfast is super friendly and very nice to talk to.I would stay at this motel again in a min ..they include breakfast with your stay that has biscuits ,scrambled eggs, gravey, bread for toast w/toaster ,cereal w/milk and min muffins and good coffee Our room had a gas fireplace and king bed the only thing i guess i can say negitive is our room did not have a balcony or a way to go out the back to the river that runs the entire motel we did have a large window that overlooked the river and it rained most of the time we were there but we could here and see ducks in the back but next time I will request a balcony we were in room 406

“We left our hearts in the heart of it all”

We stayed here for 2 nights after Christmas this year because we just had to check out this beautiful gem of a place called Gatlinburg before heading further south. We were pleasantly surprised by the perfect location of this clean & comfortable Best Western surrounded by Smoky Mountain Streams. There was even a walk around the whole place that is completely off the beaten path above. We loved it here! When we go back in the future, we will stay here at the Best Western Twin Islands. The price was about $125 a night (which included a HOT breakfast) & I know you can get cheaper, but this trip was about keeping us happy...and we were VERY HAPPY! We didn't even need our car to check the town out, we just walked everywhere nearby. Don't forget to go up the world famous Sky Chair Lift right on the main drag! It is BREATHTAKING! (We went up and down 3 times). Somehow, somewhere I ended up with a squished penny that says "I Fell In Love Again! Gatlinburg!" That says it all...:)

Room Tip: The stream front balcony rooms are unique.

“Great Place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

Hotel is a little Old but it is right in the heart of Gatlinburg. Rooms were very clean and cleaned each day while we were out. Fireplace was gas and worked good to get rid of the chill. WIFI was very fast and in the room. Bed was an awsum sleeper, Breakfast Buffet was awsum. everything you want for a full breakfast and it was included in the price

Me and my wife always stay here because of the Great Service we get! The location is Great and you are in walking distance of all of the Businesses in town! The room we stay at is large and on the creek. All of the rooms back up to the creek and it is very relaxing!

Room Tip: Do not get #433 it is the worst room here!

“Gatlinburg at night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 November 2011

If you want to enjoy the lights of Gatlinburg, particularly during the holidays, the Twin Islands Best Western may be the place for you. During the day, the tshirt shops and attractions seem to run together, but at night the lights turn it into a fairyland. Twin Island is the perfect location to facilitate walking the strand rather than joining the bumper to bumper traffic. It is very close to Ripley's Aquarium, the Hard Rock Cafe, and importantly No Way Jose's mexican restaurant. We went to Jose's for lunch and an outstanding margarita; it's right next to the hotel. At the same time, the hotel is towards the end of the strand area so it's quieter and the sound made by the rushing rivers drown out the sound of the traffic. The hotel is clean, if somewhat dated and reasonably priced. Breakfast is somewhat of an afterthought, with only six tables for four, with many, many rooms. They do give you a 20% discount on the Atrium Pancake House, but didn't mention it when we checked in. We found the discount coupon upon turning in our room "keys". I would liked to have taken advantage of it. Average hotel, but great location! We'd stay there again, but make other breakfast plans.
