Our son and two friends stayed in a room there in April, 2011 in a room we reserved for them. The room was ok but not really anything special. The front desk did not honor the reservation price we made online and boosted the price for our boys. Not really nice of them to do that, but we paid it anyway as we had little choice. This motel is not at all close to the Convention Center either, despite the name. It is located at the base of ski mountain road.

This was was disgusting! We went their on our way home from our honeymoon. We had our dog so we thought perfect, we always stay there when we visit boy oh boy we were wrong. We got room that had a kitchen, wood fireplace, ect.. where do I start first off the TV in the living room was just sitting on the fireplace mantel the cords all hanging down on the floor, if someone would trip on them if would be game over the TV would all, surge protectors hanging from the wall. Hi fire Hazard much? Nothing to even start the wood burning fireplace with. The bathroom was disgusting, The bedroom wow... the light was cut so you could not even plug the one light in! The mirror was just sitting on the dresser could have so easily fallen off! So then we get switched to another room and once we got settled we noticed the heat was not working, and when we went to call to the phone was broke, so had to call the front desk with my cell phone. Annoying. So the came to look at us and told us, oh well the gas fireplace still works. So pretty much they expected us to get up every 15 mins and turn it back on. Really? It was 9 degrees outside so they tried to tell us they would change it every 30 mins. UHggg so needless to say we switched rooms again, this one was a normal room smelled foul, internet was not working well. Terrible. We checked out early and you would have thought our room would have been discounted. NOPE!

I was very pleased with my stay at the Red Roof Inn Gatlinburg Convention Center. The room was very clean modern, and quiet!! The front desk staff was very courteous and helpful. I stayed here three nights on my fall vacation to the Smoky Mountains. I picked this hotel primarily because of the affordability of the room, and location close proximity to the Mountains . The hotel was in an excellent location, close to restaurants, shopping centers, the all activities in Gatlinburg, etc. The room had a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and included b. The best breakfast. The beds were extremely comfortable, with pillow-top beds. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Gatlinburg!!

We recently spent 3 nights at this Red Roof Inn. Upon entering the room, we found the curtain over the window severely ripped and a squashed dead fly on the bathroom counter-top. The toilet seat was terribly loose, the towel bar over the bathroom sink kept falling apart, and the water knob on the bath was in need of maintenance. The floor felt sticky, and (for us) it was impossible to feel comfortable. The staff was nice. The breakfast was meager at best. If you just need a place to sleep, this facility will probably do. But if you want anything more than that, look elsewhere.
