Just got back from our third visit from staying at Johnson's Inn. We stayed in room 1002, a condo right near the pool. While the condo was as nice as all the others, I did find that the end condo unit is much quieter and it also has a washer/dryer. The visit was somewhat of a family reunion. My husband and I were the ones to pick the spot for our family to stay. We had family coming from 3 states and everyone was pleased. The rooms are very clean and the condo's are gorgeous! The beds are extremely comfortable. The only thing that I found to be a disappointment is that the Inn did not have a crib or pack and play. It was a bit of an inconvenience for my daughter. She thought about staying somewhere else because of it and called around to nearby hotels and they all said they had cribs. She ended up staying beside of us in one of the condo's because she wanted to be near the family members. However, it was an inconvenience and I would love to see them remedy this problem for guest in the future. Overall, it was a great stay and we will definitely stay in the future.

Third year in a row staying at Johnson's Inn. The price is great! Rooms are very basic & some need more TLC as very old. But we didn't go to Gatlinburg to stay in the room all day; we go to see the sights. Location is perfect for walking downtown & close to GSMNP. Very friendly staff. Viewed one of the new condo units - it was beautiful! New furnishings & kitchens; great for familys. Pool small but great for the little ones in our party. If you want a 4 star hotel to be pampered in, this isn't for you. But for those of us who want a family-friendly, clean, safe, & affordable place to lay our head at night, this is the best location in town!

We just returned from the Johnson's Inn today. We stayed in room 101 at Johnson's. What a surprise it turned out to be. We have been going to Gatlinburg for many, many years yet had never stayed here until this year. Location was perfect! We watched the ducks every day and walked to the Pancake Pantry every morning for breakfast and stopped at the Donut Friar during the day to enjoy their products. The people at Johnson's were most friendly and the room was very clean and well appointed. If there was a problem at all it would be the bathroom faucet in room #101 is backwards. Yep, ask for cold, get hot and vice versa. Other than that, no problems at all. Would (and will) most likely return there.

We had need to be in the area just for one night. While we had stayed here before (see previous review), we were satisfied with the accomodations, just not real impressed. Well this time I have to say we enjoyed it VERY much and will probably make this our new Gatlinburg home away from home. We had previously stayed at the Kingwood for the last two decades, but it doesn't have the appeal of years past since re-opening.

We stayed on the office side and really enjoyed the convienence of the location to downtown. The room was bright with no dated paneling, etc. The room didn't have that "galley feel of most older motels. I was more rectangular shape giving the feel of openess. Having two sinks made it more convienent as well.

The only issue was a toilet that kept running, but it couldn't be heard with the door shut and the AC on. I informed the front desk just for the simple fact of water conservation for them. Thought the fridge was broken, but it just wasn't closed all the way, but we there for one night only, so no big deal.

Couple of suggestions. As I said before, the room was fairly large - but this blessing was a curse when it came to the small 19" TV. It really needs a 25" or larger. Also, the green carpet could be a warmer earth tone, but that just being picky! I don't live there! Thanks Johnson Inn - see you soon I hope!
